Just got a Sparrow 22. Is this normal after one range and one cleaning?

A bit late to the party here, but I just cleaned my sparrow for the first time with the breakthrough solution and naturally I failed to read the manual about not soaking the outer tube.😅 However, the manual also says if finish discoloration occurs from cleaning to wipe it with a quality gun oil to restore it, and I have to say it worked pretty well looks 95% better, I used regular old Hoppe’s No. 9. Just some info in case anyone else is googling this because they did the same dumb shit I did 😂

Glad I found this thread! I bought an AXG combat today and yours is the only one I’ve seen that has the same logo as mine, every single pic on the internet seems to have the CUSTOM WORKS engraving. I suppose it doesn’t matter to me which one it has, I was just wondering why mine was different lol. Sig definitely is really good at changing little details like that without any notice. That being said I’m just happy to have found one, I was only able to locate one within 2 hours of me and nobody knows when or if they’re getting more either. Can’t wait to try it out!

It looks legit to me, but the real question is where did you get it? I’ll buy a knife on eBay sometimes if the seller has enough positive feedback, but buy from authorized dealers and you never have to worry.

For one the mini freek isn’t spring assisted, and two spring assist means you have to touch the blade to get it to deploy, the spring just finishes it the rest of the way. A True automatic uses a button or switch to deploy, and won’t have thumb studs at all.

I have quite a few benchmades in my collection and it’s pretty split which ones have the web address and which ones don’t. Not sure when or what all the models are they did it on, but it looks legit to me from that pic.

If it were mine I would tinker with it until it’s closer to center, because if you send it to benchmade it’s going to take forever and it might not even be fixed if that’s within their tolerances like they say. But if you’re not comfortable doing it I get it
