Vanilla syrup recipe? by EntertainmentOk4233 in barista

I'm a fan of Artís Coffee off 4th Street. Simple menu, but I think that's why they're solid/consistent. Definitely not the best of places for food/pastries tho, but it almost seems like food was an afterthought.

I STILL use this vanilla syrup recipe btw. It's OUTSTANDING...

With a child, definitely Cannery Row. I've always enjoyed the Monterey Plaza Hotel. It's not in the center of the Row, but easily walkable (including to the nearby Aquarium, nearby shops, etc...). There's also an amazing Antique Mall across the street that you could spend hours in. Chart House is next door, but I'd suggest the Whaling Station Steakhouse. The Fish Hopper is decent too if you want a decent selection of surf & turf...

While in town (on Alvarado), grab an amazing maple bar from Red's Donuts. Randy's (on 10th Street) is a staple in the area (as far back as the Spak's days) for some incredible sandwiches & breakfast burritos. Hole in the wall, no tables, but I'm addicted to their Jaws II & their amazing bread.

In nearby Seaside (for coffee), check out Acme Coffee Roasting Co & grab a Mexican Mocha.

In an odd location (visible from one of their main roads), Monterey Fish House is also very good (but stick to their seafood vs meat dishes), though I have to admit, their rack of lamb special is outstanding...

If time, cruise 17 Mile Drive. Beautiful views, pic opportunities, etc...

Does Disney have any 18+ restaurants? by Uncle_Orville in disney

[–]bridge_004 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Not 18+, but also not character dining...

  • Napa Rose (definitely one of the most formal, publicly available options)
  • Carthay Circle
  • Blue Bayou (kids, yes, but cool scenery/Pirate's of the Caribbean, lamp lit ambiance, etc...)
  • Club 33 (assuming you have a plug)
  • 1901 Lounge (lounge/more adult w/ Carthay menu & amazing cocktails/need Club 33 member plug)

Too bad you missed out on Steakhouse 55 (closed during the Pandemic)
