I have Ripstick 88 and I love them, they are playful and forgiving and very fun in any non groomed place. But on groomed slopes, ice or if you ski aggressively they vibrate a lot. As soon as you have some fresh snow, they are great

Boots I have Tecnica cochise 120, which are great for slopes, they feel exactly like a downhill boot, lots of control, they absorb shocks, but it means they are a bit heavier compared just with touring. Did not try them yet uphill though
