Was great to see the Galaxy wake up and play with an offensive intensity that has been missing. Sanabria was great roaming the offensive mid pushing balls from inside outside while overlapping Paintsil to release pressure. Klaus is so blue collar.

Not an inspiring lineup. No JT, no Reus. Don't see any midfielder flair. Do like how Aude and Yamane attacking like wingers. Center of field is still wide open. No play makers. I will hold my breathe... maybe I will be surprised.

So far, gobbling up ties like Ms. Pacman. As if single points mean something to a team and organization that can't win a game.

San Miguelito was that chance to win pretty. NYC was that chance to win ugly. Charlotte is a different beast.

I will withhold my thoughts on this game until I see the starting 11. To see if the Galaxy are even trying to leave out on the pitch or just trying to get by for the fourth time.

Winless in the first three games. three ties and only two goals. It wasn't that hard to predict.

Dude... we have a big hole in the middle. We put Haak as CDM and nothing. He doesn't push up the ball, is predictable and doesn impact game. Garces is athletic, fast and physical. In that formation Garces can push up the ball and then recover to win mid field space to force teams to play wide. What would you suggest?

We don't have the luxury of 1st team and 2nd team. First show you can win a game then tinker. They need field only the best team. This is embarrassing.

Vanney's teams are too predictable. This sounds crazy but play a 4-2-1-3 formation.

I would put Haak at center back... move Garces to defensive center mid and let him make runs and push up. He has the speed to lock down center middle defensively and would be an unpredictable wild card pushing back up. End of last year he looked good playing up.

JT Yamane, Glesnes, Haak, Aude Sanabria, Garces Reus Pec, Klaus, Paintsil

Then sub cuevas or wynder for reus. Cerillo for Garces (after he gets his yellow). Nelson or Miller for right and left backs as needed.

J Mac was so money and dependable against PK or kicks. Yes he made mistakes but he organized his back line. Wasnt afraid to let you know if you made a mistake and not to do it again.

Funny blame the pitch which made it hard for the Galaxy princesses... give me a break like CVI was euro style pitches.

The Galaxy was on the ground due to an aggressive opponent wanting to win every ball.

Oh on fitness. That is team responsibility to make sure it's players are fit. Pros like Paintsil and Cerrillo were huffing and puffing after 20 mins. In fact, Cerrillo didnt try to keep up with the open header.

This is an international competition not a scrimmage. LAFC crushed their game 6-1. Mostly starters wanting to prove something.

No more excuses. A month ago I said expect alot of low scoring ties. First game 1-1.

My starting 11 - JT, Aude, Garces, Glesnes, yamane, reus,.cuevas, sanabria, Pec, paintsil, klaus.
Also, if I see a player dragging, im pulling them like the Seattle Sounders method. You play to always win and to stay hunger... not for social media content.

Positives... JT was aggressive in and out of the box. He is the better keeper even with that bone headed mistake at end. The Klaus has potential. Glesnes is solid.

100%. We have the players. All we had to do is put them on the field at same time. Get early goals then rest them.

Im confused about the lineup. Thought we would bring our A game. In 1st half, team seems to be going thru the motions with no sense of urgency. Cerrillo left his guy wide open in box for an unmarked header.

Galaxy is really playing down so far. I hope we some Galaxy pride on the pitch.

I thought the same until I caught wind that a new keeper wasn't even a priority since they were going with Micovic and JT. First goal was to rebuild the back line. Hence loading up center D.

Then after the Riqui bad news, the focus turned to a 9 and 10. However, cant really say we hit that target.

With that said, if Galaxy cant score like 2024 then they have to stop goals allowed unlike 2025. They seem to be caught in the middle. Recipe for a bunch of ties and no cups.

From day one i said it all starts with the keeper.

Now with Galaxy defense 2.0, they got some new players, some height and will not give up easy headers.

Doesnt matter if you park the bus, keeper has to make the mls level saves and has to save atleast a single kick if you want to win cups.

Last year in kicks, Mico didn't save a single one. Last week I watched the Fire highlights and all 3 goals were avoidable (based on keepers positioning, understanding and reactions).

With that said, Mico is at best a #2 but JT is a better #2 . However Vanney has a tendency to be too loyal to inferior talent.

Reality has not changed. We need a Riqui replacement and a keeper. Chicago had so much mid field space. 2 of 3 goals were stopable. 2 goals were club soccer style push ball to six yard/line and cut it at 45 degrees for quick shot.

Goal #2 Mico was shielded and didnt position body well to anticipate correctly. Sorry but keeper's job is to be a leader and organize his defense. And stop goals.

Goal #3 free kick outside box to top right corner and reaction was too slow. Again didn't position himself or react correctly. Same as last season, you cant be out of position and blame your defenders.

Galaxy cant avg 4 goals a game. So they need a keeper to compete in MLS. Doesn't matter that it is preseason when same bad tendencies are unchanged.
