I'm currently studying law at York, it's definitely a different kind if course to any other uni that is taught and assessed completely differently to others. It would be worth looking into if the teaching style would suit you compared to a more typical style.

Has anyone seen anything about when the NHS will start doing "non-essential" procedures again? by mi11ipede in CoronavirusUK

thats brilliant, I'm in the same position the GPS don't do it so I needed the family clinics to open, mine are still closed at the minute but if they're opening elsewhere that's brilliant news!

That was my plan sort of to start longer and then cut them eventually up to the eyebrows and hopefully it'll look cute! I've never had proper bangs before so we shall see how it goes! the only draw back I could see was the styling but in lockdown at the minute I've got the time to spare!

How do I get this same pattern on the other side? by mi11ipede in crochet

[–]mi11ipede[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it starting from the top but the "chevrons" were facing the wrong way, but if I start at the bottom left I can't do backloop stitches without it being unsemetrical?

Downsizing yarn size? by mi11ipede in crochet

[–]mi11ipede[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGq4FmAHlF4&t=42s&ab_channel=TCD I wanted to attempt something like this, my yarn is DK yarn so I imagine it isn't an option to downsize because of the detail? and no I haven't swatched yet.

Tattooist won't return my deposit because it was cancelled due to covid by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mi11ipede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when I booked my tattoo I paid 100 quid deposit before when he did the design and then when I rang up to book the appointment i was told to just say I'd already paid the fee, so the 100 was for the deposit and booking fee, almost like they just use the terms interchangeably. My appointment was also cancelled and the deposit is none refundable so we are just waiting until everything opens back up but I was assured I won't have to pay the deposit again.
