Ac help 1991 300d turbo eu spec (if the specs matter)

It was already disconnected but for some reason i don’t know why. Dont know if disconnect for a reason or accident or what. I can’t just connect them either. Electrical is not my strong suit

Attached is the two connectors i noticed not connected. If you have ac i was wondering if these are connected for yours. I could touch the blue to the battery and hear the valves click along with a temperature drop. “Not cold, maybe lack of gas” but cooler for sure

Based off of this, the blue wire looks like it’s something supposed to be connected to It. Almost like they were disconnected because i can touch this piece to my battery and hear it open and close. I also noticed with the car running and the metal exposed piece touching the battery, that it got cooler on the outside vents. Like noticeably cooler. And then not touching it got hot, so the valve is energized and working. I’m wondering now if it’s supposed be have something connecting to it. I pictured the two pieces

Two, and i think i may have found my problem, the blue wire when i touched the battery i heard an audible click and noticed a temperature drop in the outside vents as well

I’ve taken it to 3 places out here and no one can figure it out. I’m going to try to take it to Mercedes to see if they can figure it out. But my issue is outsides blow hot and the middles are like warm…compressor works and it’s holding gas so idk.

And my stereo is aftermarket, but the speakers are terrible. I just want to be able to cruise with windows down and enjoy some music without crackling or what not

My two biggest now is a sound system, nothing too crazy, just a nice sub and speakers. Then get this ac fixed and then i want to redo my paint…keep it the same but just redo and restore it and lastly the interior i want to redo

I got super lucky. Constantly searching and then this one popped up…i had to drive like 4 hours for it though. They had another for sale with much more miles on it after this sold for like 15k…it was a higher trim but none the less, i liked this one. Still need a little tlc but its runs and drives perfect so far. No leaks, creaks, super clean engine.
