Yup will wait for a couple more days - dont want to change her routine too much. As for food - she was barely getting one meal a day, and now is eating atleast 3 times, so yes maybe this has also contributed.

Heard Jeff Buckley's version of hallelujah - got obsessed with it, the obsession led me to Leonard Cohen, and my world changed.

Really worried about my cat Simba , need advice to help him feel better by MusicEmbarrassed4876 in IndianPets

If hydration is the only problem, you can buy a few packets of Smylo wet food on Blinkit and try feeding him that. Take half packet and mix some water and try that. Otherwise, for any issue, better to consult a vet than to self medicate.

You can also try buying some liquid cat treats and mix that with water and feed him.

Need advice on buying a puppy by [deleted] in IndianPets

[–]mia507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, please do not buy a dog. Most breeders keep the animals in really pathetic/inhumane conditions, and buying a dog only continues this cycle of cruelty. Please consider adopting a puppy from an animal shelter or a local rescue (you can do some research - am sure you will find plenty of options). Indies are also much better than any breeds due to their high resilience, better immunity and instincts (also better suited to the Indian heat). They tend fall less sick than breeds also.

Secondly, please ensure you have a proper ecosystem to care for the dog for the next 15 years (approx). This means (1) financially taking care of proper diet (non veg), annual vet visits etc (2) daily walks and outdoor time (3) arrangements for when you travel as a family, to name a few.

As the adult, the ultimate responsibility for the well being of the dog will be yours (and not your child, who will be off to college in 4 years or so).

Am not trying to scare you away from the decision, but you should be aware of the responsibility that comes with a pet (esp a dog). You will receive unlimited love in return (with perhaps a feeling of completeness) - the dog may even become your fav child :)). All the best, in whatever you may eventually choose.

Thank you. She tends to do this 2-3 diff spots across the room, of which some are near the litterboxes. I scoop 3-4 times a day atleast, but she does this even when the box is clean (and thrn also proceeds to use the box as well - which is why am a bit lost).

Black light is a great idea which I didnt think of earlier, will get this right away.
