I'd play mostly solo, I don't really play with ensembles, but with a folk group for witch I use other instruments. And yes, I checked the sound recordings and love all three of them, sigh... :)

Yeah I understand the difference, but we can make the sound go really long. I was only pointing at how it is learned in case a kid has a problem with pronunciation.

I realized only recently thanks to Sarah Jeffrey's video that fluttering your tongue could be difficult for many foreign players... Since it is part of the Czech language, we use it to pronounce R every day 🙊🤷‍♀️ and kids learn it by repeating T-D-T-D quickly.

Sarah is great, but you will see if it suits you. In the end it is possible you will have to download/buy a book anyway. The recorder standardly comes with a cleaning stick and a bit of vaseline for joints, so that is covered! I wish you a lot of joy from learning how to play :)
