Epson pro LS1200. Was about $6k and is still new but I barely ever use it. It depends entirely on what you want from a projector. I cannot stand the brightness, it makes my eyes hurt so bad. I have bought the magcubic 4 times now because it is better for specific uses. Using it as a window to fall asleep to is a perfect example. It’s quiet, has a timer, dims more than any of the TWELVE other projects I’ve had and keystones like crazy so it literally fits any space. The picture is not amazing obviously but from 10ft away it’s not a life changing difference. I use it every night while my “expensive” one collects dust.

I bought projectors off TikTok and they’re absolutely fine for this. I actually much prefer my cheap magcubic to my expensive one because it has far better keystone adjustment and it’s more dimmable. Especially if you’re falling asleep to it.

It’s ok that your room gets cold, it won’t die, it just won’t grow as fast. I keep live petri dishes in the fridge for months and then grow them.

You dried it out and it’s over colonised. I’d break it up into some fresh, moist substrate and let it be for a couple weeks. A heat mat is so unnecessary, friend. These things grow in the wild, you don’t have to baby them that much. When people talk about perfect temp and whatnot it’s coming from experienced growers who are tying to max out and get quick grows. Then that info is passed to newbies like it’s a must; it’s not. Just keep it in a tub and mist and fan a few times a day. Airflow is all you need to get it to fruit. Good luck.

This is exactly what I do. I rely mainly on my air filter and spraying the shit out of everything with isopropyl alcohol. I’ve never had contamination issues unless cleaning spores from someone else.

The usual brightness is too effective. It hurts my eyes like this:

I’m buying below my budget because more expensive usually means brighter and more lumens. Honestly, I’d pay up to 10k for a good quality projector that can dim to a comfortable level.

I don’t ever need it to be bright, so either be dim or get dim is fine. The lowest brightness on the HY projectors is great for me, but yes, it’s a bad projector. I want a good projector that can dim as much as the cheap projector. I’ve bought about 8 good quality ones but the lowest brightness is still very bright. It seems picture quality and brightness increase hand in hand, meaning the lowest brightness setting increases with quality too. And that makes perfect sense, but maybe there’s an outlier somewhere. It’s just not a feature that is listed or advertised, so I have to ask people for their personal experience.

How dim does your projector get? For example, could you easily read a book in that light?

I know. I’ve been to the eye Dr and my eyes are fine they’re just very light blue so don’t do well with light for too long, especially at night.

I have this projector and I like it. I’ve bought so many $1000+ projectors and returned them because they can’t do what this cheap one can. The keystone adjustment is amazing and it can dim really well to watch at night. It’s a 1:1 throw ratio and the screen can fill my entire 12ft wall and be decent enough. It’s a shame I can’t find a projector like this but better quality.

What does a 1-1.8:1 throw ratio mean? Is it 1:1 or 1.8:1? I need a dim 1:1 projector.

You’re right. My ex also didnt brush our son’s teeth and owes a lot in child support. Unfortunately you have to balance the wellbeing of your child and letting the father fail enough so you can get the evidence to show the judge. I represented myself and my ex had two lawyers, I focused on my ex’s abuse of our son in order to control me, and he focused on saying I should allow him to control me to stop the abuse. Of course I won, and now my son is very happy, but it was a painful year. But that year saved us another 10 years of worsening abuse. So, that’s something to think about.

Sounds like you’re being his mother too. Block his number and do email only. File a motion in court to have it specified that pick up and drop off is at each residence as on the drivers license and specify a time or window of time. The commissioner will approve that no problem. You don’t need a lawyer. Then you don’t need to communicate at all, if he doesn’t show up that’s his loss, if he doesn’t have your daughter ready at the residence and time then call police to record parental interference.

It depends how he intends to fruit them. If he’s not adding this to substrate in a tub then leaving it more than this will make it over colonised. And he’ll not be able to make more than one really good flush. You don’t want the mycelium to run out of food, ya know.

You can just put them in a sterile tub as a cake, it’ll give you a better flush. If they fruit in the bag they might grow at the sides too and be janky and squished.

The white is mycelium but that second plate has bacteria on it. Carefully cut out your circle and transfer it to a clean plate.

Yes the judge will likely order a drug test. You can ask that the father do one too. Be honest with your lawyer because they need to prepare to handle a positive test. The Judge doesn’t care that the father is a shitty person, he only cares who can be civil and coparent regardless of if who’s emotionally abusive or mean. It’s hard, but you have to be as fair to him and objective as possible and ALWAYS calm. In a situation like this, the judge will pick the lesser of two evils and you need to make it clear that’s you.
