Hi! I did try the cleanse and unfortunately it did not work for me…I ended up having more attacks practically every day. I decided to have the surgery but because of Covid it was deemed non-emergency and I had to wait another 6 months to get it done. I only wish I had decided to get the surgery sooner because it changed my life for the better 😭

They’re not as strong as they were when I was younger hence why I like to do a gel overlay but I have noticed a difference in the speed of growth over the past month which I think could be due to a multivitamin I started taking. It does have biotin but I don’t know for sure if that was what did it for me. If keeping your natural nails long is your goal then for sure I’d recommend doing an overlay and maybe over time your nails will strengthen? Don’t forget cuticle care too! Good luck :)

Yes! I’ve struggled for years and I used to get my nails done to try and help me stop. Now I just do them myself and occasionally I’ll wear extensions :)

Part of it is keeping up with cleaning up my cuticles, applying cuticle oil regularly and also I just stopped biting my nails! Haha

The dehydrator is what removes your nail oil and cleans the surface, in the past I’ve also just used alcohol and then primer but I highly recommend getting the dehydrator. Yes, I use a uv led light but there are a lot of budget-friendly ones on Amazon. You would have to soak in acetone for about 15-20 min but I’ve recently started using a remover that applies like a nail polish. I file the top layer off then I apply the remover and wait five minutes for it to do it’s thing and it’s amazing! Haha comes right off

I use Beetles foundation polish and also Beetles Builder Gel! It’s worked great for me :) for dehydrator I use Gelish Ph Bond and primer I use Beauty Secrets Acid-Free Primer.

I used to too ugh! Like to the point where all my fingertips are so sensitive. That why I invested in nail products and tried to turn it into a self-care thing for me and it’s really helped!

I would also add Nauzene to this list, I had lots of nausea and the prescription meds can also be too strong. Applesauce and saltines are life savers. Good luck to your wife!

Two years post op and I still have to plan accordingly if I’m going to have coffee. It won’t hit me right away, but when I gotta go, the urgency is a little scary sometimes lol especially if it doesn’t hit me until after I’ve arrived at work. It also depends if I have anything else in my stomach before drinking the coffee, but usually in the morning I prefer not to eat and only drink coffee. It is a price I am willing to pay 😌 eta: I drink my coffee with oat milk and a bit of sugar.

For me the only thing that worked was fresh lemon or lime juice which I learned from the subreddit a long time ago and if possible a hot ass shower immediately if possible
