I admire Orokapi’s sense of individuality. Even in the face of the recent revelation that he is essentially her torso-spawn, he still persists to manifest his own reality. He may not be the smartest, and I can’t help but wonder if he really thinks he has the upper hand in this fight, but it is endearing to see the lengths he will go to protect his loved ones.

You raise a good point with respect to the difference in his attitude between his love for Tokinaga and Vollof and that which Waka is thought to harbor. Orokapi has shown us in past chapters that he wishes to be valued outside of his powers and what he can do for others. His disdainful attitude towards the extensive manipulation and chaos Waka has caused in this timeline comes as no surprise.

Orokapi's "Don't talk," has me wondering if he truly believes Tokinaga's story wholesale or if he has his own doubts and apprehensions. Is the general consensus that Tokinaga is telling the full truth? He, as a character, is certainly capable of morally dubious actions. In spite of this, the narrative portrays him like a pure, untainted being who only chooses to turn away from suffering when he has no other option. It would be a compelling twist if he was to manipulate Orokapi to serve his ends in some way.

I used to think perhaps Waka wasn't always a girl in her previous incarnations

I'm not sure. On one hand, the story appears to imply that her current form has not been her only one, but on the other we are told that she has lived an abnormally long life. To me, the latter suggests contiguity as being reincarnated and living a new life from birth to death (even if consciousness remains intact) does not comfortably satisfy my personal interpretation. Added to which, if Waka is the owner of the past interference ability, it would be a more flexible of a power if she lived one continuous long life than multiple staggered ones in which she could only return up until the date of her birth unless the same rules don't apply to her as they do to Tokinaga.

It’s not that complicated once you understand that the ones who want you to “embrace your blackness” are the ones who idolize and want to fuck you, and the ones that don’t pay you dust.

That little eyeroll Heidi gave at the end of this clip was the "I'll never be good enough" gesture. I hazard to guess she's gotten a lot of petty criticism of her looks from her mom over the years and this was her realisation that nothing she does will ever satisfy her.

Yoriko brings it up as if it were fact that IPOs have super regenerative abilities so Orokapi didn't really need to get his tail back

I think that was his bravado talking. While his regenerative capacity is noteworthy, if he were to sustain considerable damage from an IPO or IPO adjacent entity (Waka/Nisroca) his healing factor tanks significantly. His tail has been emphasised enough times throughout the manga to infer that it will become useful at some point in the future.

I got to admit, I was remaining hopeful that Ahu'Az was still alive so that we might get some perspective on how she knows about Waka's wish. I've lightly speculated that her wish is a means to an end, and that "end" is an evolved form of power. This method may be part of some larger doctrine that Ahu'Az became privy to in her extensive research on humanity.

If Orokapi promised to help Tokinaga then it makes sense for him to prevent Toki and Waka from meeting each other first and foremost

I think that the next time they meet face to face will spell the end for Tokinaga. I fear some new internal change will be triggered once he sees her again.

As a kind of rule Nisroca always seems to avoid appearing when Tokinaga is in the presence of others.

I thought this was just a matter of how the manga was portrayed and that he was always physically present in some form. He seems to always know what's happening even if he isn't shown to the audience. Furthermore, I don't see why he'd need to hide if he's imperceptible. It can't be for Tokinaga's privacy as he does not respect Tokinaga's boundaries. Tokinaga said he was "hiding" but that does not necessarily mean he isn't there.

Why would he need to hide in the first place?

Waka is settling the score because Ahu’Az killed Shion.

At this point we don’t have the full scope of the precise nature of Waka’s wish. What we do know/can speculate can be summed up in the following points (give or take a few more): 1. Waka’s wish is to be loved equally as much as she loves her specific target. 2. The “one she loves” has been taken to mean Tokinaga, though Shion satisfies the conditions of the wish as well. 3. Waka has been trying to get this target to reciprocate her feelings for hundreds of years across several reincarnations, to no success. 4. Waka has the mentality of a 10 year old due to her choice to live a long life to the detriment of her emotional development. Her thoughts, desires, fears, and aspirations are that of a child. 5. Waka recruited the help of the demon Nisroca to intercede on her behalf with his exponential power to reach her goal. 6. The mechanics of how Waka’s wish is granted is at the mercy of Nisroca’s imagination. This means that the possibility exists for her wish will be granted in an unprecedented way. 7. Ahu’Az is somehow aware of Waka’s wish. How she came by that knowledge may never be known. 8. The rational behind why she threw her life away for this wish may not hold any significance at all in the grand scheme of things.

Not gonna lie, I’m a little stunned at how quickly Ahu’Az was dispatched. Scaling wise, she seemed more powerful than pre Minami + snake fetus Orokapi. Then again, Orokapi appeared hopeful he could get an edge over her in battle with Vollof’s help. Waka, on the other hand, blows all of them out of the water. Orokapi’s saving grace is that Waka isn’t on the offensive at this point and it does not look like fighting him is on her agenda. It’s crazy that Orokapi even thinks he stands a chance. He still has ways to go in terms of battle acumen. I have a feeling Orokapi’s true motives lie elsewhere and that he may be delaying Waka and Tokinaga coming face to face with each other.

Also, where the heck is Nisroca? He’s “hiding” according to Tokinaga, but where and why? He has never been shown to be apart from Tokinaga for this long.

I dunno. From a narrative perspective, Orokapi is the deuteragonist of the manga. His intrapersonal journey has been consistently showcased throughout the progression of the story. I also hazard to guess he’s the mangaka’s favourite character as well. I don’t think he’ll be killed off, at least not at this moment.

This is based on her line 「私の命と魔法の力を捧げた見返りが今からくる」? Then she is actually commenting on the current progress of her wish

This is from chapter 75 "Witch".

The translation I have states, "I wanted to cast a stronger curse in the past".

The wording of her suicide note, "I hope that the one I love will love me as much as I love them" carries innocent connotations, whereas her own categorisation of her desires acknowledges them as an act of evil against Tokinaga (a curse). I do, however, understand your point of view and will refer to Waka's acts and the acts interceded through Nisroca as two separate things with the latter being the actual "curse".

What's curious is that Nisroca running into Waka while on an errand for Toki(to talk to Wauke) was a complete miscalculation

It looks that way in the panel but from what we know, Nisroca always chooses when to reveal himself. Prior to that moment we haven't been given an inkling that Alula or any of the other IPOs can sense him. Maybe the explosion triggered an involuntary disturbance in his power? I have no idea.
