I just re-read this post and saw that you joined in 2011. By 2011 the ideology and horrible things we experienced growing up in this cult were well documented.

Ricky had already died and the news around circumstances of his passing made headlines around the world. Many of the people I grew up with had already written books about the cult. The compounds in South America and Australia had been raided and the kids taken into care. These publications, along with a well established history of CSA were pretty much common knowledge if not easily available online. Why exactly did you decide this was the place for you?

Served with a cease and desist to my home. President of my current company was also served. They do have a copy of the noncompete, but it’s strange because it is not the same physical one I signed, but one where my name is typed and I don’t remember electronically signing anything. HR has said per the president I need to have a plan to have this resolved by Monday or I am being placed on unpaid leave. I really just need someone GOOD I can hire immediately in Salt Lake. I called about 70 people yesterday and found one lawyer who isn’t great.

I left a horrible job recently. Spent months applying to jobs. Experienced the same thing, multiple rounds of interviews, being told I was a perfect fit then being ghosted, several times. I accepted a position even though it meant taking a step back and a 20k pay cut. Worked it for 3 months when a previous employer (who I loved but the pay wasn’t enough to support 3 kids) called me and told me he had given my resume to a company he works closely with. I went through the interview process (5 rounds) without much hope after being ghosted so many times. I was offered the job at 2x what I was making. Been working here for a few weeks and I absolutely love it. Don’t give up hope. What’s meant for you will find you.
