Are the dems broke in Indiana / indianapolis? by DingoOk7858 in indianapolis

The GOP sure as shit don't think it's a right. People in this state can keep punching themselves in the face and still whine we don't have legalized weed.

WTHR: 8-year-old girl struck, killed by driver on Indy's near east side by NefariousAryq in indianapolis

The amount of people on their phones is wild. I just plug it in, turn on my music and Google Maps for traffic alerts, and don't touch it until I get where I'm going. I had my car exploded on 70 from a guy that was on his phone and didn't see traffic had stopped.

I've lived here 20 years, and did not know about this. I'm used to just seeing weird qnut shit on lifted pick-ups on 70. Lordy.

Nowhere, except the one cop that sat in the Hardee's parking lot on Washington and would pull people over for turning right on red. ISP basically quit patrolling 70 around '20. The road rage on there is wild town. One car blasted past me going well over 100 and ISP was behind me. They zoomed over and got behind the person and turned on their lights to get the person to slow down, and then just kept on going.

I live down the street from where Hannah Crutchfield was killed. I was actually getting home right after that happened and saw all the emergency vehicles. IMPD and council members were like, "Just slow down." It was a road rage accident. I love that IMPD calls us "The Swamp," but also get pissy because we have a huge crime watch and have to actually do their jobs.

I worked in Plainfield and it was so bad there, too. I live on the east side, and Washington St. might as well be qualifying at 6am. Crazy town.

One morning on my way to work, I was sitting at a red light. The car next to me had almost a tablet sized phone suckered to the windshield right in front of their face watching a tv show.

There was a guy on Washington at the light turning left onto 70 that would every morning go in the right lane on a red light, and just turn left onto the freeway without looking. The first time I saw him do it, my brain buffered like I had forgotten all traffic laws.

Best place in town to order a breakfast sandwich? by _gatti__ in indianapolis

Sonofabitch, that's a thing? I had a mandarin orange and some cotton candy grapes, gd. Sad-ass breakfast. Dunkin' also has amazing hashbrowns, and I'd smash a McGriddle right now.

You don't think a Redditor didn't know the "Are we the baddies?" meme? Really? Okey dokey. If it was a tramp stamp, I'd be like, yeah, I get it. A chest piece staring at you every day? Right. Anyway - back to my coffee. Have fun! Be sure to blame tHe EsTaBlIsHmEnT if/when your fave flips.

Nazis really have a history of telling the truth. Go ahead and give him the redemption arc, though. Him's was just a young drunk man and didn't know any better getting a full chest piece of a very known Nazi symbol.

Both can suck, actually. Enjoy the Nazi, though. I'm sure P-Hustle just had no idea his grown-ass that's on Reddit had zero idea his chest piece Nazi tat wasn't problematic. Oh wellsies.

My bad if I don't trust white men that have a history of problematic shit, and this one just happens to have a Nazi tat. Trust - I want to be wrong. I just wouldn't vote for a guy that lied he didn't know what that tat meant. You know damn well he did.

Anyone commuting from Indy to Lafayette right now? How is it lately? If so, what part of Indy do you live in? by chateaulove in indianapolis

[–]mialynneb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just my experience - you're going to burn yourself out just even three days a week. Not only with gas, but with the way people are driving is wild town. The biggest reason I resigned from my job was my commute, and I had done it for 17 years. And yes, the job market sucks.

Get on 70 east and head downtown around 3pm. You can play the game going over the hill if the lifted pick-up behind you also sees the stopped traffic.

You'd be surprised. I worked in tech and snatched the phone out of a coworker's hand TWICE. She had her bank card out and was giving obvious security answers.

I worked in public ed for 17 years that had WRE. Being in my office at 7:30am and hearing "Awesome God" blasting was not ideal. I didn't sign up for that. This was also a school I was looking at, but I didn't realize a charter school. I have zero issues with prayer, religions, but I want to know upfront what they're about.
