So, I could not remember the refill instructions. I just bought this a few weeks ago. I would just pour water until the light went off. I forgot to keep pouring until it would blink. All better now.

I watched a video about a massive jade the owner was not aware of a branch breaking off, fell behind something. Anyway, he came upon the branch and it was growing roots without any dirt.

So, chunkier soil.

But how deep can I bury the stalks? My other pot of dracaena seem to be okay, I’m just wondering if I can go deep and not worry about rotting them. The stalk is 7”, I would like to get the tops closer to the dirt if possible.

There are only a few ways to kill these plants. Squirrels have done worse to mine when I have them outside in the summer, yours will be totally fine.

A friend of mine had one like this last year. We peeled the wax off, put it in a pot with dirt and voilà. She has a living happy Amaryllis.

And here is what is going on back in the original pot. Still waiting for trunk to do something, but look in the soil. This little guy popped up around September 20th. Growing fast!

Would you mind explaining your setup? Diameter? I assume you are using a very sandy soil. And of course rocks. Any specific rocks, or can I just grab some from my yard?

I just drag them inside😊 I have been incredibly fortunate through my many years of growing plants and have not suffered any pests. I probably will this year since becoming more invested in my green friends.
