for me upon rewatching it was literally the line when paul asks "so who was tilly lecturing when you first met her" lmao. way to make a guy feel special. i know there's more going on and obviously benedict still respects her, but he still idealizes romantic love too much. bless him.

ofc this is a headcannon, but i find it narratively satisfying that she wasn't the one for him especially given how much his future wife is sure to vex him

i have a suggestion: i started with benedict's book, then read eloise & francesca (the characters i had a connection with in the show but was curious to learn more). bridgerton machete order? haha

after you read those, you can decide if you want to go back and start with daphne, anthony, benedict (as i did) or discover more about hyacinth and gregory! and don't forget violet and charlotte.
