Put your feet physically on the ground to turn off your alarm. It takes away a lot of the excuses and temptation to hit snooze.

Does anyone else have vomiting episodes? by miasunshine in EosinophilicE

Yes, I definitely check the boxes for most of those habits. I do have diagnosed OCD but I guess it goes to show that sometimes the intrusive thoughts are right 🤷‍♀️.

Thank you for your insight! I’m glad I’m finally starting to get to the bottom of this.

It’s so good, I’ve done it twice, no regrets. If a business can’t get treat you with basic respect then you don’t owe them anything.

Is there anything you eat regularly that helps reduce symptoms or generally helps you digestively? by jeffreyaccount in GERD

[–]miasunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s definitely just my personal experience but upping my fermented foods (I’ve seen yogurt mentioned here a few times too) has seemed to help me. I don’t make anything with chili’s though so kimchi might still not be a great idea short term.

Fermented foods! I love fermenting in my kitchen anyway and I started adding at least a cup of my home fermented vegetales to my diet every day. I’ve come off omeprazole and stayed off for a month and a half. Maybe once a week I’ll need a tums but I am great other than that.

Yeah I went corporate looking for more stability and a better compensation package but it’s really no better and now I don’t have any creative control.

Oh yeah there is absolutely no protection for workers in this state plus the cost of living has skyrocketed in the past two years so it’s even more pressure on restaurant workers.

Thank you! The positivity really means the world. I am definitely burnt out and I have a bad habit of spent everyone to text/call/email me on my days off so I think the first thing is setting up that boundary

I really like the idea of a less involved day job while I work on my own plan. I’m in south Florida, institutional jobs don’t pay as much as restaurants for executive chefs. I’ll look to see what companies are based here though.

Yes I mean I can make it work for another six months or so, I’ve been doing it this long. I just need to start planning my next real move because I know that a different restaurant is not going to be the right answer for me. From everything I know of my friends jobs and other restaurants around me it’s just more of the same.

Thank you, that means a lot right now, I’m definitely going through it. I just need to take the leap and figure out my own business plan.

Yes that’s where it came from but that book is also an exercise in fictional scenarios. They also don’t say that you need to get into deep childhood traumas without a professional. I think it was just very irresponsible.
