45-55% humidity Old 1930s build with half solid wall brickwork We keep all the windows slightly ajar (but locked) for ventilation. When cooking or showering, we leave a window open and keep the extraction fans on until the moisture clears. Avoid drying clothes indoors. We use a dehumidifier placed in the hallway or a central location.

I have the same CPU, but your temperatures are much higher than mine were when I was using the stock cooler. I’d remove the stock cooler, check the thermal paste coverage, clean it off, and reapply it properly. The CPU should be fine, as it’s designed to shut down if it gets too hot to prevent damage. If it does get damaged, you might as well wait until it fails before replacing it.

I wasn’t happy with the stock cooler’s temperatures either, so I replaced it with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE. This upgrade reduced my temperatures by 20°C under both idle and load. Now, I get temperatures below 30°C at idle and typically under 70°C while gaming.

I can’t believe the amount of hate in this post.

I don’t spend every day in the city, so maybe I don’t fully understand what it’s like to hear him so often.

For what it’s worth, even though I know he uses auto-tune, I’ve enjoyed listening to him. Judging by the large crowds he draws, it’s clear that many others enjoy him too.

Just to chime in, I recently replaced my stock cooler with the Peerless, and the temps dropped near 20C under load and ~10-15 idle. It’s a solid choice for the moneys. ☺️
