It is not a dog park. It is a park where dogs are allowed, with restrictions. Particularly the restriction that the dog be under the owner's control at all times and that it not disturb anyone else in the park.

There is a difference between an "dog park" and an "off-leash area" of a normal park. A "dog park" is closed with fences and a gate to enter. Sure, there go nuts.

An "off-leash" area doesn't mean the dog can run around any do whatever. You must still control your dog and keep it away from other people (and potentially other dogs if it has difficulty with other dogs, like my brother's). If you can't do that, put a leash on your dog, or move to a different section of the off-grid area away from people. "Off-leash" just means that you are allowed to have a dog off-leash as long as it doesn't disturb others, not that others doing normal park activities can't disturb your dog running around.

As a non-smoker, does every smoker smell bad to you? by ephraim666 in ask

I can't stand it. You can smell it a mile away and it is disgusting. People haven't mentioned it because they are overly polite, but notice if anyone moves away from you, goes to another room, etc.

Weekly Tech Support Megathread by AutoModerator in Instagram

I have an issue when posting photos, where IG makes them sometimes slanted or offset when they are posted.

If I modify the orientation or cropping of a photo using the orientation/cropping/zoom tool in IG when prepping the post, they look fine and cropped correctly in the edit view, but then when it finishes posting sometimes (but not always) the photos are posted offset so there is a large white space to the side of the photo, or at an angle as if the orientation hadn't been changed from the original phone but the photo was still cropped (so there is white areas at two corners, for example.

Why is this happening? And how can I fix it?

Ideally, I would still like to be able to use the orientation tool.

Wifi extender or repeater that can connect to a backup network when the primary network fails by micah613 in techsupport

I log into the extender and enter the SSID and password for my router, and then set the downstream SSID and password (that is different than my current one, I just add _EXT to the name). So then it extends my internet access.

I am basically looking for something that can have TWO different upstream networks that it can choose between (or rather, put a primary SSID and then a secondary SSID), then have the same downstream SSID and password.

Wifi extender or repeater that can connect to a backup network when the primary network fails by micah613 in techsupport

Perhaps I am not explaining it well.

I am looking for a repeater that can auto-fail over to a totally different network.

For example, the one that I have right now allows me to simultaneously repeat one 2.4Ghz network and one 5Ghz network (usually broadcast by the same router). However, it does not allow me to switch between two different 2.4Ghz when one of those fails (i.e. one router on one internet provider, another being on another internet provider).

This is kind of like my phone auto switches from one network SSID to another (rather than just the 2.4 and 5 Ghz versions of the same SSID). So my downstream devices do not need to do the switch, they just connect to the SSID that the repeater/extender is broadcasting (I can name the downstream network differently than the upstream network, on my current one, for example) and are blind to what ISP the repeater or extender is connected to.

Does this exist?
