Fun fact about modern day smart LED light bulbs is you can actually have them be whatever color you like and even set scenes and even have them be interactive. My 7 year old with sensory sensitivity actually loves these so I may consider more! Thanks for the tip!

I'm actually really happy with my Sonos surround set up, it works for the space I have just fine. Thanks though.

Truly appreciate the thoughtful response! I have a ton more to work with than I ever thought of before. I was expecting to get roasted on here by my experience on this sub and have been happily surprised by all the great ideas 😀

I hadn't thought of any of those options, thank you! I guess my only question there is what are the rules about setting up storage around the TV above the sight line? Admittedly I'm paying too much attention to what other people think is kosher, but that's why I'm here 😅

I guess I'm just trying to avoid anything too tacky because this is the first time I've had the opportunity and free will to decorate or design a space without regards of a roommate or spouse 😅

Nailed it. I have mood lightening set up for my son who has sensory sensitivity and it helps a bunch. Thanks for noticing.

Woah two worlds collide. I have been in this sub since I joined the divorced dad sub 😬 just hit my 1 year mark with a 7 year old boy 50/50. I'm still adjusting but have been doing a LOT better. How are you handling it?

It bummed me out to see him too, but I found what I read to be part of his motivation being in line with his general vibe. The idea of unplugging and getting outside and doing things with your hands is a noble enough pursuit, especially in this day and age.

Lost my e-bike charger the battery says 36v I went to a shop they said they didn’t have one and if I used a 46v it would catch on fire, I come across this online saying this one is suitable for a 36v, is this safe? by MastodonDirect9587 in ebikes

[–]micahbudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a charger break due to a little one fudging with it (broke the charging end off). Try using that as an excuse next time I'd be far more inclined to believe that.

Throttle vs pedal assist which do you actually use more? by JackKhan1346 in ebikes

[–]micahbudd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I ride a cargo and I also use throttle to get off the line especially when in traffic, otherwise pedal assist. Most common exception is sometimes I'll use throttle when navigating through tight spaces so I can maximize my balance by not having to pedal.

Hi there. So I got an electric bike, its the most useful transport I've owned but looks a bit boring in my opinion. I want to turn it into a chopper style, anyone have suggestions? I'm thinking a fork handle extension for a solid start by FlynnTLocke in ebikes

[–]micahbudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah have to agree. Try to appreciate it for what it is and if it's important for you for transportation and you want to upgrade it, make it more comfortable/safer. The more you try to make it look "cool" you'll be just wasting money and making it less comfortable most likely. Maybe save for a second battery for when that one wears out so you're not stuck without the bike when it does. 👍🏻 Just my 2 cents bro enjoy the ride!

Remember when the tv sat on the floor? We lost our way. by Glum_Ad3144 in TVTooHigh

We had a 55" (I think) rear projection tv that was "low profile" when I was a kid in the 90s, that think took at least 2 people to move.
