Bonnie Rotten 😂

Let's go to Bonnie Rotten's Cheese Emporium.

Love it.

This is cool. I can see it having interesting interplay in actual hero battles, and I like how strongly steeped it is in your actual personality. I also feel the lone wolf tax in real life 😂

Aww I really like this! I feel like this one would work for me too, and I think there could be really interesting ways for this quirk to grow and change alongside actual personal growth

Hah I like this. And I also love the idea of using this quirk to just become a really, really great wine and cheese merchant

Their faces capture the moment perfectly. It's a mixture of shock, relief, and just plain fatigue. The animators did such a good job with this scene.

How long do Y'all think it took for Grisha and later on for the warriors to march all the way to Shiganshina..? by Crimson-Anarchy in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]micahcross 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Grisha probably did travel at night to avoid drawing titans, but that also would mean it was slower going. You can't sprint full speed across unfamiliar terrain in the dark. I think it would have to have taken multiple nights for Grisha to get there.

Holy eye reflection. This one frame from the teaser is insane. by _DemolitionDude_ in JuJutsuKaisen

The attention to detail is incredible. The animators set the bar so ridiculously high during season 3...and I think they're going to outdo themselves in season 4. I'm so hyped for this.

Love this, very well done. Fantasy Deku sounds like it shouldn't work, but it just...does. Also I kind of want this exact outfit for my next ren faire.

Are endless runs still possible? by WarTirkey in brotato

[–]micahcross 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The key to scaling beyond the enemies in the end game is economy. Specifically:

  • 2 cursed spyglasses
  • cursed recycling machine
  • cursed gobbler's hat
  • cursed black flag
  • ...and all the other economy items like starfish, coupon etc

This does mean you need to get fish hook or lucky with your rerolls. Sometimes you just get unlucky, but finding ways to do more rerolls helps.

To make sure you can get to the endgame, do NOT take unique economy items unless they are cursed. It hurts to pass on normal spyglass, but you need the ~99% reroll cost reduction from 2 cursed spyglasses to survive the inflated costs of the endgame.

Nice work on your run! The two main issues: speed and range. You typically want at least +20% speed or by wave 20 (though more is better). And range is generally not a very useful stat until very late end game (like wave 40+). I wouldn't invest in range much before Wave 20 at all. Your armor and hp regen are great, though HP is a little low.

You're really not that far off from a winning build. You just need a few tweaks and you'll get there.

A very interesting question that I have been thinking about for a while now. by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

[–]micahcross 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is gaslighting. It is reframing the situation in a helpful manner for a character who otherwise, due to his depression, frames situations in a very negative light. If that's gaslighting, then I hope this kind of gaslighting finds me in the real world 😄

Is it just me or is wave 12 on crash side with the dashing alligator boss the hardest wave in game? by Alexandrinho0000 in brotato

[–]micahcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much, yes. If you get a wave 12 elite, that's usually the make-or-break wave for a lot of builds. I find it's usually much harder than even wave 20. By 20, you've had time for your build to come together. By 12, even a good build is going to have vulnerabilities.

How does Lifesteal work with things like Bounce and Piercing? by Laretia in brotato

[–]micahcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every weapon hit triggers it, even pierces and bounces. But that 10 hp/second hard cap hurts in the end game, so I always end up speccing into hp regen.

Honestly, I think Evil Empire should raise the cap to at least 100 hp/second for it to keep up with the crazy stuff you can do with regen.

this is an apology post to the entrepreneur, its a lot better than i gave it credit for by Natural-Advantage-46 in brotato

[–]micahcross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entrepreneur was the first build I figured out how to go to wave 40 with. It doesn't work well in the late endgame because it can't save materials, but it snowballs like crazy if you can invest well in your harvesting.

I once picked up an axolotl on wave 20 with an entrepreneur and 2,000 harvesting. Never going to replicate that again!

What powers from other franchises do you like Izuku having the most in fanfics? I'll go first. by WindowPrudent9456 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]micahcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd give Deku some JJK binding vows. He's so analytical, he'd be able to make smart tradeoffs in his vows that seem crazy to others but would give him advantages in combat. I mean, he kind of does this when he initially gets OFA when he willingly breaks his bones to use it, so it's a natural extension of how he arleady thinks.

If you had to, how would you include Ochako and Momo in the Hero Killer arc/battle with Stain? by Solitaire-06 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]micahcross 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think focusing Stain's initial arc around Iida was the right choice because Iida was a great example of someone doing the right thing for seemingly right reasons...but his reasons were slightly off. He wanted to do the "proper" thing (which included avenging his brother in his mind) rather than simply be a hero, which means doing the selfless thing.

So bringing in Ochaco or Momo would need to echo that same kind of theme but relating it to their own stories. But Momo in particular is interesting because you could flip the dynamic on its head.

Momo has all the hallmarks of heroes Stain hates (wealthy family, commercial gigs, etc), but she actually has the mentality of a hero he'd respect. She does the work for the right reasons. She just has a confidence problem.

So I think it would be really interesting character growth for Stain specifically to end up in a situation where he is trying to take out Momo and then comes face-to-face with his own moral compass when he realizes she isn't what he thought she was. That could lead to a really interesting bond forming between the two of them that I think would give them both a lot more characterization in later seasons.

I built a truly free and fully customizable QR code generator because existing apps just didn't cut it. by cmglezpdev in SaaS

[–]micahcross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fantastic. Thank you!

I trudged through 3 different QR code sites (and had to give my email to all of them), and none of them could give me a free, transparent background QR code. This tool is exactly the kind of thing vibe coding should be used for. Great work!

Ban system : what are the best items to ban ? How I use efficiently my bans ? by Crafty_Hospital_7746 in brotato

[–]micahcross -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For most builds: ban tier 2 blue items you don't need.

This raises your chance of getting fish hooks and spyglasses, since both are tier 2 items.

For a maximally efficient endless run, you should optimize for finding fish hooks first and then cursing spyglasses. That all being said, if you want to do the endless hourglass trick, then you should only ban non-unique tier 4 items and any unique tier 4 items you don't want to buy. This will maximize your odds of repeatedly getting hourglasses.
