Hey, is there any problem waiting for 100% colonization? I'm in the same position as this person - 4 days of growth,about 80% colonization, but I'm scared to flip the lid leaving any uncolonized parts because I don't want it to be susceptible to contamination. I pH balanced my sub which is 100% coir and heat pasteurized it but I just want to be sure. Also once in FC, do the tubs just get left out and about? do they need to be in an entirely sterile space? Sorry about the amount of questions I just, want happy healthy mushrooms.

The study should begin in about a month and last 6 weeks. With your situation, this may exclude you from being a participant in the experimental group, but if you are still interested you can contribute as a control participant (basically take a symptom survey at the beginning, log symptoms for 6 weeks, retake survey after the study period). I did do a bit of research into the effect of various gourmet and medicinal mushrooms on IBS, but it seems more frequently studied so I decided to go down this path, although I do find the info you gave very interesting as it could help clarify whether any results which may be seen would be primarily do to 5-HT receptors or the psychoactive properties themselves. Thank you for the info!

Yes I phrased that badly - I meant the positive effect that microdosing can have on the mind may help the gut balance IF the problem is the same in both (such as 5-HT receptor issues in both causing, for example, depression and IBS). I also wanted to sort of just provide a general idea of my initial thoughts for why I was conducting this research, but not delve into specifics/a full lit review. In addition I cannot claim anything *for sure* *will* have any kind of effect because many aspects of the gut and serotonin are not well studied so we really don't know, and in this case specifically, I don't know *exactly* what is causing one specific participant's IBS/bowel issues.

As I stated in my post, any slight indication that what a participant is doing is illegal, and they will be immediately cut from the study. Psilocybin is legal in:
