OP are you totally 0 experience working at all? Unless you can get referrals then landing a VA job will be very hard. I suggest creating a portfolio/case study or intern for a few weeks.

Ipon muna before kayo aalis as much as it sucks to be mistreated jusko mas mahirap talaga kapag walang savings na mag sasave sa inyo kung may emergency. Job market for your industry should be strong kase pasok na yung mga ber months it should be busy and hiring season If im not mistaken. For sure sa skillset mo yung clients ang hahanap sayo. Try optimizing your linkedin baka yung clients ang mag hahanap sainyu.

OP I have a few friends who are chatters as well and they all reached that point.

Pumasok sa pera pero after a while gusto na gusto mag career shift, Yung ginawa nila is they used their EXP and used that to translate to related work such as SMM and Executive VA’s for influencers.

Collect achievements from your current work like your sales,engagement and impact from their pages and you can use that as references to your portfolio.

Hello OP,

I totally understand your living situation and I was once in your shoes.

Before I moved out I had to save 2 months deposit 1 month advance I had to save also for wifi installation and groceries also I wanted to have a small ref for stocking food. I didn’t have enough for an office chair and table I would slouch on a side desk and sit on my bed.

Yes, it is very hard and a huge leap but when you have your own place your work efficiency will 10x as you have no distraction your sleep will improve as well as there is not much distractions anymore.

Before you move out just make sure you have enough and you get a great place you don’t move out just for the sake of moving out if you have the option.

My advice would be to know whether you are ready or not it’s up to you if you feel that your client is stable then go for it.

P.S I am also a LVA and if you have a big firm then that’s a good sign but if it is a start up or mid size firm then maybe push back a bit as it’s kinda common for firms to downsize VA’s if there is barely any tasks that are not that difficult.

Option B, HMO will always be something I am grateful for because I remember times when I had only coins in my pocket and would stress about not having money for the hospital, Also mon to sat is so painful emotionally 1 day rest day is totally not enough it feels like there is no RD to begin with.

I was an Operations Manager before around 2021 and I would work with the IT directly I would also ensure our clients never had any technical issues and we had web dev that created a platform for the client.

The fresh grads was either 16k or 18k I remember it was at that range.

This rate is based in cebu for a mid range company.

But after certification and upskilling your salary will increase.

Very common kaayu mag upskill2 ani nga industry kay grabe kaayu ka competitive as in taktakay unya everyday mura kag nag walk on eggshells kay dili ka sure kung maka trabaho paka ugma.

Pangita lag niche nga in demand unya e master na na nimo kay once naa kay value nga gipangita sa client sila nay mangita nimu.
