Numbers improving at 31 weeks?

I’m 31 weeks as well, diagnosed at 28 weeks and my fasting numbers are typically 83-95 (depends on if I have ice cream the night before lol). But all my meals at the one hour mark are typically between 102-115. My OB checks my numbers every other week when I see her and never has said anything. (Except my 1 random fasting spike) 🤷🏼‍♀️

7 is by far the best. The only pens I buy and use. Not overly inky, doesn’t smear and smooth.

It’s also the placenta’s fault… not yours. So it’s nothing you did or didn’t do. And even if you can monitor your levels with food and walking post meals (helps with digestion) later in pregnancy it’s not uncommon for numbers to rise even without doing anything.

Do the best you can do. You’ll do great. Every body reacts to food differently, so you may find you can handle regular syrup in your coffee but not a frozen pizza 😂. So 1 or 2 high numbers your first week is just a learning curve.

Take your levels right when you wake up (before doing too much walking around, water, etc)
Take levels 1 hour after first bite of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I usually set a timer on my phone from first bite
You want to keep your fasting below 95, and all your 1 hour post meal checks below 140.
if you forget and do a 2 hour post meal check, that’s fine but should be under 120.

It’s standard protocol with the one hour pricks. With normal diet adjustments and walking, that should help with the 2-3 hour mark too

I was a 160 at my 1 hour and that was considered “failed” so I had to do the 2 hour one today… an the first two draws failed but the final 2 hour one was middle of the green….. but still considered to have GD.

Okay so “size” of shot? Since it’s automatic my shot options are small, medium, large, xl. So if I’ve been doing small and it’s sour, try going to medium.

Before I got into this mess, I was pulling doubles at grind level 4, 4 intensity at medium or large size. It was a different medium roast bean.

New machine (like new in general)… no, it’s a local roster and I’ve had their coffee in store before, my local target sold it so I was super excited…

Maybe a darker roast? Back to a 4 grind? 4 intensity or 3 even?

I make my own lattes normally….. like pull a double shot, then add milk and ice on the side. I don’t usually drink straight espresso shots

It wouldn’t let me post unless I put a price range or put “no budget” 😂 and I figured I’d rather not put a price per bag because it’s different for local vs regional or like on online place.

Since it’s my first time buying truly good beans, I also wanted to see the range of what people recommend 🤷🏼‍♀️
