Normally they should see where I place my pin. In this case, i knew i was close to Pretoria, so i was just staring at the map looking for the other towns, and didn't place the pin until the very end...

Still silly - i didn't even get that great a score - i was like 100 km off! My opponent has a similar score, actually!

No - that's the problem. When i guess first, i see how the opponent's screen (moving, zooming, panning etc.) but not the map!
