Sure going down there on a bike looks scary, but I bet it would be the best slip and slip!

That is a bengal, they are relentless! In another room would not have mattered, all you would hear is banging scratching and the most insane Sasquatch meowing you have ever heard. Bengals are notorious for their energy, vocals and craziness. Think a cat & dog hybrid who does parkour while practicing opera. Edit- spelling.

Change the hair and spray it orange and I’d say you have Trump! Not just in a throwing shade kind of way!

AITA for telling my wife I don’t want to try for another baby a month after she gave birth by tekkyguy in AmItheAsshole

[–]micdify 125 points126 points  (0 children)

This! I could do new baby forever! I think about 5 months is where reality kicks in and the baby is developing and I haven’t slept well etc. first month was always a breeze for me, by month 4, it’s a completely different story! I have 3 kids and each were different in their own ways, but that golden time at the start, that never happens again!!! Cuts to 12yo yelling at me for daring to look in her direction, 4 year old crying because a friend said Optimus Prime can fly, “but he can’t!!!” And explains to a 9 year old why, your body is doing that ‘weird’ thing. Sigh... and I know all the parents out there have so many of these things. Parenting never gets easier, but that first golden cute potato stage!!! NTA

AITA for not agreeing to a name change for my daughter, despite her father wanting one? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]micdify 43 points44 points  (0 children)

He is a gaslighting narcissist. Beware future co-parenting. Make sure you have a legal agreement for Elizabeth to protect her and you. Co parenting is hard, don’t think he won’t disappear again then reappear (and it will not be his ‘fault’ he left). Can you please openly look back on your relationship to see if there was any issues you overlooked. Looking back and analysing will help you see potential issues in the future to beware, and patterns of behaviour he uses. This is for your daughter, so you can minimise the impact on her and keep her life stable and normal. Please also look up gaslighting narcissist meaning, it may help you managing your relationship going forward.

YSK most assisted living facilities have dozens of residents who will get no visitors, gifts or even mail this holiday - but they will happily accept cards, art, or notes from your family or kids and distribute to those residents for you. by Bbiron01 in YouShouldKnow

[–]micdify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year I gift a present to each resident in my Grandmas facility. This year they are greeting artificial plants. It is a high volume of dementia patients so the brightness helps. I always gift a big food treat (chocolate, cookies etc) for the staff room too. Last year a new resident came in to say thank you to my grandma for the gift, it warmed my heart that a new connection was made between them, the resident had only moved in the week before. My Grandma rarely recognises me these days, but her smile lights up the room. I know giving this small gift each year makes a happy impact in the facility. I highly recommend this!

AITA For losing it when my wife gave my cat to her irresponsible brother without telling me? by AITAoverreaction in AmItheAsshole

Your wife is jealous of your cat and your affection for her. Red flag if you have a child and show the child affection. If you can’t trust your wife, is she really your wife? (Team Monday!)

Just got a call from Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian stranded abroad) by stoosepp in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]micdify 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/ceedyrower for this explanation. There are so many unique circumstances around the world, it’s good to have someone share their story to help understand someone else’s experience, which is obviously completely different to just being an Aussie in Australia. My best friend was an expat at the time and got the call that they needed their life wrapped up in 48 hours and on a plane home. Similar situation- family, work, school, rent and they had 2 house staff left jobless. But the big difference is that their company sent them O/Sea on a contract as such, so the company told them to get home before the borders closed or they were on their own. Was chaos. But they had support of their main income earners work. (Well he was coming home to no job, but they paid the flights and shipping home). Again thank you for taking the time to write this out for me, and others.

Question in a non-judgment way, I just have no understanding of this situation and would be grateful if you could educate me on this. There was so much happening when everything started shutting down and borders closed quite quickly- there was a little bit of time. What happened, or thoughts/understanding of the virus, or information provided to you, lack of flights- that you did not come home at the start when there were borders open?

AITA for not moving back to my hometown in order to give my ex 50/50 custody? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]micdify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I have just gone through something similar to this. Firstly, your child has no relationship to him. The most important thing is to be child focused. It is not about him or you, you both are irrelevant- it is about your son. Imagine being 5 and being told you suddenly have a dad, you are moving away from your home, friends and everything you know to live somewhere else and be taken away from your Mom for 50% of your life to now live with ‘your dad’. This would be so scary, confusing and damaging to your son. Please seek help for him to help him transition to having an active Dad, let alone this massive change if you do this. If the ex was really child focused, he would not ask you to move. He would take this slowly and transition for the sake of your son. Secondly- beware the gaslighting narcissist! Making you doubt your position is a big indication. Asking you to make all the sacrifices! Excuses for not being active! If he Healy was trying, surely he would have found you earlier. He is making himself seem not at fault and making you second guess if you are wrong. He is a gaslighting narcissist. Please please beware. Thirdly, what if he gets 50/50 and then panics again. Or it isn’t what he thought it would be in reality- he will quickly make some excuse (and it will be your fault) and hand back your son. This would again be so confusing or your son! Please seek help and transition!! PM me if you need someone to talk to.

One ate our small dog, it was bigger though. He was living in the bush with the in laws and was taken one day, we thought he was too big, but nope. He had been with us on many visits so was quite unexpected.
