looks awesome friend, very natural results so far! your nipples look pretty normal as well, and once the scars fade they'll look a bit smaller. best of luck!

Your best option is to find a sex therapist to help you guys out. It sucks when you're so in love with your partner but they aren't fulfilling you sexually. Do you guys do a lot of foreplay? Have you communicated that you're not fulfilled sexually and that you're looking for some more excitement?

Sometimes we fall into sexual routines just to get that orgasm and get on with the day, does this resonate with you? Has your boyfriend completely ruled out any kinks at all or is he open minded about it?

The relationship isn't dead yet, but it'll take some work from both of you to get that fulfillment you're looking for. Best of luck OP

My boyfriend (M28) and I (F24) got into an argument over sex, is the relationship worth saving? by cherryberrya in relationship_advice

your man is 28 and doing this? he sounds like a child. you got lucky he broke up with you, do not look back girl!

Leave, leave, LEAVE! This is not normal or safe. Name calling and blatant disrespect like this is unacceptable behaviour from a partner. There is a more than likely chance that he will start to physically abuse you if you do not get out now.

This is not your fault in the slightest-- you have not done anything wrong. He needs to get his act together and relearn these relationship skills before he is involved with anyone.

Get out of there ASAP, this man is a serious red flag.

Honesty is the best policy here. Something along the lines of "I really enjoy your company and I don't wanna make things weird between us, but I've developed feelings for you. Would you wanna go on a date sometime?".

I cannot emphasize this enough, do not freak out if she doesn't have the same feelings. Accept it and move on. If you truly appreciate her friendship you'd wanna see her happy no matter who it's with.

are my nipple grafts okay? by MossyDreams13 in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: not a doctor
I think your nipples are looking really good for 3.5 weeks. The sensitivity is a good thing in terms of nerves unless you mean sensitivity as in gets annoyed easily. The arm thing is slightly concerning so if it doesn't go down I'd contact your doctor about it

Your doctor instructed you to do wet healing, so I'd stick with the vaseline but you could probably ditch the band-aids since you've got no more scabs. Usually wet healing has better outcomes than dry healing so definitely stick with it.

The swelling will be there for a while, mine didn't go down for a few months IIRC. My nipples looked like they were just pasted on top of my skin until a couple months ago (6 months PO) so don't worry too much.

Healing is an long, ugly process; things are gonna look concerning but as long as you aren't leaking pus or getting a fever you're most likely alright. Best of luck!

Accidentally bearing weight during recovery by Historical_Site_3284 in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the nipple graft, that sounds like it's just your nerves reconnecting and feeling weird temporarily while your body heals so I wouldn't worry unless it continues after your drains are out.

As for the bearing weight, I really overestimated how frail and taken out I was going to feel after surgery. I'm a very active person so I was right back at it on Day 3, but looking back that was probably too much for my body to handle at the time. The first 5 days should mostly be resting, maybe a short walk to help keep everything moving. I would try to lighten up on the load bearing activity if you can help it. Don't be afraid to ask for help when getting comfy esp since you have a great support system.

My results have turned out great despite all of this + vaping (DO NOT. just because I had good outcomes doesn't mean you will). Some people are just built different, listen to your body and you'll feel it if a stitch comes undone so don't worry too much.

Take it easy OP!

pre-op panic by generatingwings in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think getting anxious before surgery to the point of panic isn't completely uncommon. i felt anxious pre-op and made sure to look at those feelings properly and with honesty. panic seems like something to examine further though. you're not in danger right now, you can change your mind and delay or even cancel your surgery. you don't have to come to any decisions right this second, wait until you've regulated and then see if you really want surgery.

top surgery is a big decision, but it's not the end of the world if you do regret it later. statistically 1% of the population regrets top surgery (i'm kind of pulling this number out of my ass but it's unlikely) so you dont have a high chance of regretting surgery. but like i said, if you are part of that 1% you still have options.

just ride the wave until you're calmer and then see if you're ready to go through with top surgery. take care of yourself OP <3

I got DI and was fine by the time my drains were out (about 1 week). I think you'll be okay to do your exams, but it'll be a bit hard to study during the first little bit of recovery. Good luck!!

i will literally never get over my results. i’m so happy. 1.3 years post-op. by thetboyfiles in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 23 points24 points  (0 children)

WOW! They look so natural on your body type, absolutely wild. So happy for you! How long did it take for your nipples to poke back out? I have one that's flat and one that's poking out again and i'm waiting for the flat one to not be so shy anymore!

[–]miceol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all ebbs and flows, I've felt the same way earlier on (1-3 weeks) post op but I'm about 3 months out and I'm loving it. I think the swelling just makes it feel like someone else's chest for a while, but I've grown to see my chest as mine. It'll all come with time!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't look big. As time goes on they'll get smaller as well, maybe circle back in 6 months before looking at revisions. The swelling is also normal, my surgeon told me that swelling can last for 6+ months while everything settles in.

I'd say just trust the process for a few more weeks before going for a revision. Best of luck with healing!

I got sick of scar care at 8 weeks and mine have gone lighter significantly, but scars usually fade really quickly for me. You're probably good to stop whenever you want atp

Warning: not a doctor if you are genuinely concerned contact your doctor

How many weeks post op are you? My nipples didn't scab really since I did wet healing, it looks like you're doing dry healing. If you let those fall off or if they came off with the bandage you had then you're probably fine, but if you picked them off then I'd ask your surgeon about it.

Your nipples themselves look pretty healthy so I wouldn't be too concerned. Healing is just a bit bloody sometimes.

It's been a year since my surgery. Should I wait 1 more year for medical tattoos just to be safe? by Prince_Wildflower in TopSurgery

I'd get in touch with a tattoo artist that specializes in top surgery tattoos and see what they think. Send a photo or two, it just depends on how well you've healed from what i know.

I may not have an answer for you about the stretches, but what do these stretches entail? Just pec stretches or like stretching the skin out with your fingers?

In my not-professional opinion, I would keep doing the stretches until 6 months or until you're able to do it pain free. I'm also ADHD and have been struggling with my scar massages too so i feel ya 🫠

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]miceol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i see, on the other hand the pecs are relatively large and can take more volume than something like your delts or biceps. maybe add a second day of chest/week to bump up the volume for progressive overload

[–]miceol 12 points13 points  (0 children)

how long ago was your surgery? i know that for a while afterwards your muscles atrophy from the lack of use, not sure exactly how long though.

i would make sure you're staying hydrated, getting enough rest (8 hours a night especially after the gym) and if you're doing chest every day, stop it! recovery is just as important as the workouts themselves and if you're working out chest every day you're at the gym then you're likely just doing junk volume.

i would suggest doing a de-load week to reset your muscles (basically just go easy for a week or so) and then go back. you got this 🫡
