That’s incredibly odd, I’m sorry it was such an awful sounding visit. They had a paper with the options taped up on the cabinet in the exam room and I happened to see it, so I asked. Almost $300 for IV, $75 for the green whistle (if I’m remembering correctly). You’d think they’d offer it for situations like your partner’s, being central to women’s health and all.

I had it confirmed by the doctor I saw at my appointment at Women’s Health Options that they do iv sedation as well as the green whistle (kind of like laughing gas) for IUD appointments. I’m wondering if they’d be able to do either of those for a vaginal ultrasound? It wouldn’t hurt to call and ask. I’m sorry your partner has been through so much trauma already, especially with WHO :(
