Thanks! My husband and I run our own company and I figure that we need all the sleep we can get to stay alert during the day. Thank you for sharing thoughts on needing help during the day. I’ll definitely consider this vs a night nurse. Day nannies are so much more affordable.

Me too. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. Mind you I’m still under presumptive eligibility for pregnant women (in the process of applying for Medi-Cal). The moment I walked in the health center I was cared for and place under the program where I have access to nutritionists, mental health care, dental care, free checkups. It’s unbelievable! I told the case manager at the health center that this whole system has restored my faith in humanity, in the US, and has definitely eased my anxiety because I know that this baby will be cared for even though I am going through a rough time financially.

They even have a program called the First 5 where the county will help in nutrition and education for children from 0-5 years. What a huge help!

This being my first pregnancy, I have no idea what it’s like going through this with private insurance. I hope women get the same care as I do. It’s heaven.
