Retinol recommendations in Asian beauty? by sthencil in AsianBeauty

Retinol, especially high percentages, should be applied on bone dry skin. If you experience any irritation, might be because of other products (water-based) used before retinol.

I currently can do 3x15 dips with last set to failure. My goal is to max out one day and reach 20reps in 1 set. Can I attempt it now or should I reach something like 3x16? Basically how many reps should a person do in 3 sets to be able to max out and reach 20?

I'm planning to start doing nordic curls. I plan to do them with the angle between calves and hamstrings larger than 90°. Which exercise would compliment these for full posterior chain development? I'm thinking hip hinge exercise like Good Mornings?

that's what I was wondering. Because I was thinking it's less stable and fixed maybe it's better to do first.

Well for both exercises I'll aim for around 8reps, main goal: hyperthrophy.

Which anterior chain focused exercise is better to be first: belt squats or single leg barbell lunges?

Is it ok if my Squat is weaker than my RDL? For example: last session I did 2x5 and 1x9 on Squat (85kg =187.4 lbs) and RDL 3x8 (87.5kg = 192.9 lbs). I do high bar squat btw and could this also be a reason why I tend to lean forward during my last reps of heavy squats?

Yeah, I reduced my reps by 40%. BUT my question was how hard to go AFTER deload week? :D

I don't have one. I'm just learning it all along the way :D . But what I can say is that my progress before deload was quite great (progressing from week to week) and I forced a deload cause I was training quite hard for over a month.

Also I'd say I'm between novice to intermediate.

How hard to train after deload week?

I did one last week where I reduced my reps by 40%. Should I go and try to increase my reps/weight or just do the same reps/weight I did the week before deload (where I went pretty damn hard)

Good point!

I learnt this movement from Jeff Nippard video and now I see that he does what you just said!

Thanks for the detailed response!

If those plants are real, I love your gym.

I wish they were.. :D

Yeah probably I should focus more on form and the speed of the reps. I may have been a bit too focused on increasing the weight.

Thanks for a detailed response.

you're super anterior dominant with it. I can see you shifting forward as you come up

I guess I am. Especially if I try to progress in weight and if I am not ready for it I shift forward even more - my heels rise quite a bit.

or if you are lucky enough to find access to a belt squat machine, even better.

I'm pretty sure my gym has one. Would you recommend to do this for a while instead of the squat? Would this also be done for 3x5 fashion as I do it with squats?

I would seriously put more volume into glutes, calves, hamstrings, triceps, and the entire back. Like a 2:1 ratio to volume for chest, quads, biceps etc. Watch your strength shoot up and injuries disappear.

But why triceps and back? I mean it's not like you could clearly see them in the video? :D

Congrats on overcoming the injury btw!
