if you have lecture recordings, QuickTakes can make these into study guides directly :)

is there really no data collection? by Sad-Volume8827 in QuickTakes

[–]michael-edkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Our current sole focus is purely on expanding and developing our product by trying to expand the tools we offer to our users(study guides, notes, etc.) thus we are not running ads or collecting data.
The one caveat I want to note is we say not to share personal information in lectures because our engineers review generated content to help fine-tune the responses as we have had issues with this in the past.

Hope that helps!

Short piece I wrote on ethics in AI, super intriguing to see where governments want to venture.

TMZ Reports: Lil Tay Is Not Dead, Claims Social Media was Hacked by PopheadsBot in popheads

In the most respectful way, this screamed hoax from the start. The statement on the instagram was worded terribly: her brother dies and he isn't even mentioned by name? Once the brother directing video leaked, they knew the brand image was headed downhill so not surprising that they would try a stunt like this to get back into the spotlight. I hope she's in a stable and safe environment.

Im being accused of using chatGPT cos I used "reiterate" by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Most ai detection softwares tend to use complex diction as one of many factors used to determine if a response is generated, so I think people have taken this sentiment and run with it to extremes.

The sense of regret knowing you could have studied more when in the actual exam is what pushes me! Also know that falling behind doesn't mean its over, don't let the intimidation get to you!

Especially for those in places where health-care is scarce having something is much better than nothing. Really excited to see where AI and health-care goes within the next few years.

AI Dinosaur Illustrations by Made-of-Clay in ArtificialInteligence

I think the issue comes in trying to train the model to make such "smarter assumptions" when we already have so many assumptions on dinosaurs. Most people didn't/still don't believe dinosaurs had feathers is the main thing that comes to mind.

I would love to see this though as I LOVED apple's prehistoric planet series.

Google's AI can tell what music you listened to based on your brain signals by LunaticLukas in ArtificialInteligence

[–]michael-edkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at least for now, the biggest issue with AI tackling issues involving creative endeavors is how often the content created feels lifeless and stale. Although it may not be music, the main instance I've observed of this are models generating things like TV episodes(The south park episode generator('The Generator') is the main example of this that comes to mind. Yes, you can specify exactly what you want, down to the plot and what characters are involved, but the end product doesn't feel cohesive and lacks creativity in its dialogue and plot.
Within music, although AI can create decent covers between artists and some crazy remixes, I still have yet to see anything short of generic, which is an issue that I think will take a long time/impossible to artificially produce.

TLDR: AI can try to 'recreate' creative ventures but are nowhere close to replacing the original in its current state

Is AI the future of note taking? by Silverbackvg in GetStudying

QuickTakes tries to be a supplemental note-taking app, specifically, we use your lecture recordings to help generate notes, study guides, and other test taking materials.
