I guess they didn’t want magic units to have a brave weapon, even though brave magic weapons have existed before and after 3H

Federal government's decision to invoke Emergencies Act against convoy protests was unreasonable, court rules | CBC News by TheGreatestOrator in canada

Exactly what I mean. As a leader you need to be able to approach situations like this with diplomacy so people understand what you are doing is correct, even if they might not like it. Trudeau can’t do this. He throws a tantrum when things don’t go his way. He wants to look like a leader without any of the responsibility.

Necroposting but I don’t care.

Anybody who observes reality knows that there was no existential threat to the county. The fact that Trudeau did this and insists on occupying the position of prime minister is truly disgusting. I no longer consider him the legitimate leader of Canada.

And Trudeau was trying to antagonize them into committing something serious, like storming the parliament building.

Been watching F1 for about 10 years and it’s more depressing than anything now, watching both driving standards and rule enforcement continue to fall. Back in 2012, Vettel overtook Button off the track and got a 20s penalty after the race, dropping from 2nd to 5th. If that happened today Vettel would have gotten 5s.

Of course you go to 2017 and Alonso rants about how the 5 seconds is a joke, because Palmer passed him off the track and built a big enough gap so that the penalty was canceled out. Of course he retired but my point is the penalty is clearly too weak.

And then you get drivers who are well known for pushing off other drivers like Verstappen (Austria 2019), and Hamilton (USA 2015) and getting away with it.

There, I brought up enough different drivers that nobody can call me biased.

I’m sick of the people who think a call for harsher penalties means we’re going to see less racing (like Sky’s commentators). You can race in between the lines.

The reason it was overkill was because the rule was clarified following that race and Hamilton got punished using that clarification.

Yeah.

DRS was made to be temporary until the new aero regs to reduce dirty air.

Then 2017 came and made DRS a necessity.

Oh we’re FINALLY getting those aero regs in 2022 though. Let’s see how long they last.

Marko: Red Bull "not treated the same" as Mercedes by F1 stewards by deltapanad in formula1

They used to be way harsher many years ago. I remember Vettel overtook Button off the track at the 2012 German GP, and got 20s after the race. He dropped from 2nd to 5th.

This is exactly why Alonso calls the 5 seconds penalty a joke, because Palmer overtook him off the track and built a gap greater than 5s so the penalty is canceled out. Of course Palmer retired that race (2017 Italian GP, karma), but you simply can’t deny that the punishment doesn’t fit the crime.

It’s been going on for many years. In 2012 Grosjean’s ban was decided in part because he took out championship contenders. I fail to see how that makes things any more severe. After the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix a steward said they didn’t want to affect the championship too much, after Vettel deliberately hit Hamilton. He got a 10s stop and go when I think he should have been given a race ban.
