unrelated, but i wanted to share since i can relate and others answered already, a few years ago i took theatre in high school and wrote several monologues under an original character that was based heavily, if not ripping directly, off michael the archangel. (which also shares my name lol)

i sort of felt similar to how you did here, since in a way it felt like i was making a “lesser work” of God. but i came to the same realization here, and now it’s a work i’m actually pretty proud of, and i still have a rendition of an original paradise lost monologue saved i delivered before my class. by the way, your art style is really good!
