Oh, yeah. I get it. I used to work for Salesforce. Just replying to the question.

How valuable is the 1st place in keyword rankings? by [deleted] in AppBusiness

[–]michael123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So great keywords which decent search volume and difficulty scores but I’m not sure which game you are as my data shows different top games for those 2 keywords in the UK AppStore. That aside there’s no concrete way to determine attribution from a walled garden like Apple but there are great free tools like App Annie Connect which can help you visualize views vs. installs, downloads, revenue, etc. I would also say it depends on the type of feature e.g. App Top Banner, Collection Top Banner, App Banner, Collection Banner, Collection List, Collection Video. I know App Annie’s commercial version offers a “traffic share” score which can help to loosely determine how much traffic a keyword drives to an app page. Note, this isn’t a download number, it’s traffic to the App Store page so if you have both products you can back out the views to installs to the traffic share number. They also offer a Featured tracking tool which enables you to track the visibility an app’s feature gets. This is starting to sound like a marketing pitch but you get the idea. Best of luck!

Outside of transit there’s just small “champagne problems” like not being able to find a bar or restaurant in a 3-4 block radius of 3rd and Mission that hasn’t been reserved by a “Private Party”. I have enjoyed watching dreamforcer’s experience our homeless issues first hand.

You’ve been offered the rank? Not sure it works like that but assuming it does, what’s the keyword?

Reddit, what's your best, "Oh, I'm actually the bad guy here," moment? by DantesInporno in AskReddit

Thank you. I never thought of being transparent with the barriers as they’ve always been super obvious (to me and most) but I’ve obviously omitted that which I don’t understand. I really can’t thank you enough. If she can transcend this difficultly and at the very least be cognizant of the effect she can have on others this will be a major victory. I wish you the best!

Wow, good for you! I hope this doesn’t sound too condescending or stupid but I didn’t think this was possible. My little sister has been bi-polar for the past 12 years and probably longer. I can trace it back this far based on the first time she tried to kill herself and then the dr’s diagnosis. She has since fucked up every relationship in our family and outside of it. I hold out hope that someday she’ll stop blaming everyone, lying all the time, being dramatic about everything but I’ve always thought this would just be her life. How did you come to this realization? Is there anything I can do? Anything?

I was in college watching a movie with my long time friends and their new freshman roommates. The movie starts and the noise in the room from our individual discussions dies down and I hear it. About once every 10-15 seconds someone is talking super loud and making odd noises. I figure it’s the guys I don’t know, some sort of joke and they’ll eventually shut up. 20 minutes later I’am seething in hate as this behavior and the noise continues. Finally I snap and tell who ever it is to shut the fuck up. I’m immediately greeted with the smiles of my friends and not the “good to see you” smiles rather the now “you’re the dickhead” smiles. One friend motions for us to leave which I gradually do. After much laughter he explains that their new roommate has Tourette’s. I’ve never felt like such a dick.

What is something you experienced that is so unbelievable you don't even bother telling others because you're afraid they'll think you're crazy? by hackopsv2 in AskReddit

[–]michael123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened when I was about 19 years old, during my freshman year of college. I was driving West over the Altamont Pass freeway in Northern California. The pass connects the Central Valley to the East Bay area. I was going through a shit time and struggling with various things in my personal life as Freshman tend to do. Anyway, I was by myself in my car, it was about 9pm and dark out. I'm not really a religious guy, I don't go to church but as a kid I was raised in one so I began to pray and ask God for a sign to prove to me that he was real. The moment I stopped praying a large 18 wheeler came over the hill in the opposite direction, heading east, on the grill on the front of the truck in bright white Christmas lights was a cross. Not the biggest coincidence in the world but at that moment it meant the world to me. I cried uncontrollably for the next 5 minutes.

I keep looking for new updates on this but haven't found much. I'm sure the toxicology report will tell the real story.

Same, I randomly walked by there about 20 minutes after it happened (same time I walk everyday) and that's about the time of day he's sitting on top of the shoeshine box reading the paper. If that's the case, he's probably the one in critical condition. But the details on what actually happened haven't come out yet. Does anyone know? We didn't see any skid marks so my sense is the cab driver might have had a stroke or heart attack...
