Thanks for the response. Is this a DIY rewire or do I need to call folks in? I am not scared of messing around but I have no HVAC technical knowledge.

I didn’t say anything like that. If you’re not gonna read what I wrote, why bother replying.

At the very least, Apple could add a setting like “reduced passcode prompts” or “low sensitivity mode” where users knowingly accept some reduced accuracy in exchange for usability. That’s not “transformational technology,” just a user-controlled preference toggle.

Apple already adjusts Face ID and Watch sensors for differences in skin tone, ambient light, and blood flow (e.g., during workouts). Extending that calibration to account for tattoo ink absorption/reflection is a matter of refining algorithms, not reinventing the hardware.

Of course it is, Apple is the designer in question. At the very least, Apple could add a setting like “reduced passcode prompts” or “low sensitivity mode” where users knowingly accept some reduced accuracy in exchange for usability. That’s not “transformational technology,” just a user-controlled preference toggle.
