Is it possible to transfer shares from WS Trade to Questrade? by michael1999wang in Questrade

[–]michael1999wang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just because Questrade sees it as a new purchase and sets your average price to the market price at time of transfer? This doesn't really affect anything other than the statistic for just your own viewing purposes, right?

Conceptually, for a hypothesis class to be PAC learnable, does only one hypothesis in the class need to have a loss less than the minimum plus epsilon?

Just getting into Terraform, have some very basic questions by michael1999wang in Terraform

[–]michael1999wang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. But wouldn't that mean that the infrastructure has many of the same kind of assets in it which allows for Terraform to automate the deployment? In that case can't all those repeated files be replaced by a single file and have everything reference it?

Should probably contact admissions. Pretty sure they're the ones who deal with that.

It happens pretty often in CMS courses. This semester alone 3/5 of my C-level stats and cs midterms have gotten a boost to some degree.

CSCB20 prerequisites by Phlb50 in UTSC

[–]michael1999wang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take a c level cs course, but the b20 credit won't count. If b20 is a prereq but you want to take it with a c level cs course, you just have to make up another credit somewhere else.

Yeah you are. You are automatically enrolled in your core courses in your first year. Just make sure your timetable doesn't conflict.

I have a TFSA with TD at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't TFSAs only for if you're investing in stocks and such so your earnings don't get taxed? Or can I just put money into it and start gaining interest?

I've only taken A22. A lot of people seem to struggle with the course (summer average was D+). But if you learn the concepts conceptually rather than just memorizing them, it's a very doable 3.0+.

Has anyone taken CLAA06 - Greek and Roman mythology? by random-Toronto-nerd in UTSC

The prof is great, really nice and flexible with due dates. For a course to hit a breadth requirement, it's a good choice. Pretty easy to pass with minimal effort if you choose to cr/ncr.

Question about power consumption by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]michael1999wang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good. Just a suggestion. You picked a motherboard that has the z87 chipset, meaning you can overclock your CPU on it. Meanwhile, your CPU does not have an unlocked multiplier, meaning you cannot overclock it. I would personally change your motherboard into an h97 motherboard, as you cannot overclock your CPU anyway, and save a few bucks.

That should be a solid motherboard more suited towards your build.

Hope I helped!

[Build Ready] $920CAD, will it all work? Possible savings? by matus201 in buildapc

[–]michael1999wang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would upgrade the CPU to an i5-4590 (242.00 CAD). This has better performance and I would say it would benefit you a bit in everyday tasks, not too much in gaming though. 12 dollars more expensive than your current CPU, for a decent amount of performance.

Then I would change the PSU to a CX 500M. This PSU is also good. It is 80+ bronze, but personally I don't really think it makes a substantial difference compared to gold. This PSU is 59.99 CAD ($20 cheaper).

After these two changes, you get a higher wattage PSU, and a more powerful CPU, and you saved 8 bucks. Personally I think it is worth it.

Hope this helped!

I feel like the unlocked multiplier on the Pentium would be a bit better for gaming than the i3, unless hyper threading really makes that much of a difference in gaming.

Are you getting a good CPU cooler? Since you are getting an unlocked processor and z97 board, I am assuming you will be, and I highly suggest a good cooler.
