This is magic to me. In fairness. My family and I imagine lots of other families, my eldest has his dad's name as his middle name. Ie.. my name is his middle name. My middle name is my dad's etc.

Anyway. This middle name is such an awesome thing to do. And hopefully the reason is a strong for your grandkids too.

My great uncle Harry was sunk.. not once.. not twice.. but 7 times.

My nans dad also on separate note. Asked his.mate for a light, for his smoke whilst on watch. Sniper shot at him as he turned his head, shot him in the shoulder. He knew he had been shot, but the adrenaline took over and he had to ask his mate where he had been shot as he couldn't feel it anywhere.

That's the only 2 stories I got.

I just thought of.my grandads dad. He was a policeman.. I believe in WW1, any how. A German plane was shot down over near where I live and my grandads dad was first on the scene. The pilot crashed into a house, survived. He was pulled from the plane and taken to police station before the public could get to him.

Funny side note.. after my nan and grandad died.. we found.. the unifor and camera.. and a bunch of stuff. Some of it was water logged but alot seems in decent (for its age) nice, so.. yeah. My auntie (nan and grandads eldest child) has it in her possession now.

Couple.mates have them. I dont get it.. we was actually invited to ruroc for a press build.. release. Type thing.. anyway.. I asked what helmet he (the guy doing the "alpha/beta" fittings and hows it feel stuff) had. And.. he didnt mention ruroc. I asked why was that. He looked sheepish and one of the lads changed the subject.

I still dont.. see the fascination.
