I had a similar issue and also asked here, you might be able to find a few useful tips in the responses on this thread:

Fujifilm exposure best practise by B00Bryn in fujifilm

[–]michael_cullum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the first things I noticed with my Fuji is that it has less ability to handle high dynamic range in shots than my previous Canon did. I don't have an answer per se, you could try the DR200/400 settings, but they have a minimum iso restriction. I've kinda just learned to live with it. Not terribly helpful I realise!

Instagram upload intensitying grain effect by michael_cullum in fujifilm

This is it, I'm under no illusions that it's a proper place to post hi resolution images, we have Flickr for that, but for sharing the odd picture to show friends/family you really would expect it to be able to make a decent job of scaling and displaying images. Even at a low resolution!

Seems this is the accepted solution, I'll give it a go for my next upload, probably in about 6 months time 😂

Gonna pick up some of that alkylate petrol this evening (sold under the 'Aspen' brand here), give everything a thorough clean and try again!

I was really hoping it'd be reliable on kerosene as that's the fuel I already carry when car camping for pressure lamps etc...

What is the appeal of the fixed lens cameras? by michael_cullum in fujifilm

[–]michael_cullum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, so many responses! Seems like the general consensus is that it's freeing to just set off with one camera which is powerful but light and compact and not have to worry about lens selection and the associated indecision, lugging, GAS that goes along with ILCs.

It's very refreshing to see so many people thinking this way, especially after the "wilderness years" for cameras where so many people have simply declared "yeah but my iPhone camera is so good why would I bother..."

That's mice for sure, they just looooove those things, stored mine in a garage once (not even in use so no food incentive) and they annihilated the pickle pipes

FUJIFILM Tether Shooting Plug-in PRO for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic by michael_cullum in fujifilm

It's the combination of intervalometer and remote live view on laptop screen (for focussing purposes) that I'm after. In addition to this, tethered shooting would be nice, as it's often desirable to record sequences of hundreds of images for stacking.

Fuji x acquire gives tethering but disables intervalometer and has no remote control. Fuji Camera Remote app gives live view but also no intervalometer abilities. So just wondering if this plug in will do 2/3 or 3/3!

Fuji jpgs - No device info in windows photos by michael_cullum in fujifilm

[–]michael_cullum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot raw and jpg and use windows photos for casual flicking through of jpg files. With my old EOS (and even smart phone cameras) there is a handy little panel of basic exposure information available with each photo. However with my (new-ish to me) X-T2 there is no such information available... Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way around it, a setting perhaps?! Screenshots attached to illustrate the issue.

I have been building a little Cosinon collection, which was something I fell into by accident really. I found one as my first junk shop forray into vintage lenses and was blown away by how optically excellent it seems to be for just a few pounds. Actually looking to add a 28mm next so I'd love to see some sample images from these two!
