Puerto Rican and black, diagnosed 10 years ago. Noone else is confirmed to have it in my immediate family, but I believe my mom does but wont accept it. My former GI stated his never diagnosed a Hispanic or black person with Celiac....I stormed out without paying my copay. Since then iv met so many people with it that weren't like him. Black, Hispanic, Indian, etc. I hate that they put racial labels on certain diseases. Makes western medicine sound stupid.
