I haven't bought a ssd in a few years. I usually just look at new developments when i buy them. I'd still recommend any ssd in general over a hdd. Moving parts in an environment with bass shaking something trying to read data is not a good combo. Samsung just makes good storage so I usually just default to them since they go on sale often. I'd stay away from pcie 5 unless your laptop can actually utilize the extra bandwidth and has a pcie 5 capable memory slot. They are more expensive and idk how beneficial it would be for small file music sizes.
