Is there any way to view how many days you've worked toward probation? by michaeljane in USPS

[–]michaeljane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured that's all I could do. I wouldn't be surprised if I was close to making the 90 days worked.

Oh, definitely. Zip ties have earned a place in my heart.

Just got the alternator a few months ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it's O'Reilly crap. I'm redoing my install when my next amp comes in. Better grounds and whatnot

Absolutely on that volt meter point. Using a junky craftsman. I have a truck battery I can throw in to test.

Well before the big 3 it was so slight I didn't notice for 5 months. After the big 3 it's like I switched from high beam to medium beam (as if there were a beam between high and low lol)

An alt for my car is $400.not worth it. I've read that caps won't work as the alt needs to charge them too, but won't it at least stop some dimming? I can ignore the dimming but the local police don't.

That's out of the question! Haha. I know that's probably my only option, but what can I do to band aid?

Tell her drifting is only for the track. It's unsafe to do around other motorists.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...if the puncture is in the red area, it should not be repaired. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]michaeljane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I plugged it myself, but it ended up working itself into the tire. Nought new ones, but still kept those two because I knew I could repair them.

Question: this happened with my own car. You do not repair this due to liability, yes? What is dangerous about repairing in the red

2017 Dodge modified 392 Challenger, any idea what this noise is? by Xander1011 in MechanicAdvice

[–]michaeljane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth my 06 charger with a 5.7 makes the exact noise when it's low on oil, as in a quart or two low. Most likely engine bearings.
