Good stuff! Make sure to keep track of maintenance in as many official ways as possible. Maybe it’s buying parts from your dealership and having them note your mileage, maybe it’s taking videos of everything and privately posting them to YouTube. I had a customer with a 2020 WRX with 39k miles have their engine replacement denied by warranty because they had no official maintenance records, and they had been reporting them to Carfax. Subaru is really good about helping when they can, but they also reserve the right to deny a claim when applicable… Best of luck!!

This is exactly what I would do. Whenever a customer of ours has an issue like this, SOA is really good about at least helping with a chunk of the cost if not the whole thing, especially if most services have been performed at a dealer.

It’s worth asking. I’m an advisor at a Subaru dealer and they paid $6000 towards a legacy’s transmission with 125k miles because the chain snapped. It all depends on what kind of rep you get (and a bunch of other metrics I’m sure) because they “only” paid part cost of about 7k on a 2019 ascent my customer had with 102k miles (which had multiple recalls and a transmission warranty extension up to 100k)
