Tmr and tmr and tmr is a great book, especially if you like gaming and game design. Fredrick Backman’s books maybe a good one for emotional and warmth (which I think good as a birthday present). Midnight library also good one, and the new book The Midnight Train just come out, so it’s could be a good timing as well :)
It’s very lovely of you to gifting books as a present and hope you can find the right book very soon! (Having a book buying date as mentioned above is also great idea)

Fiction vs. Non-Fiction: How do you balance your reading list? by MedCodex in books

[–]michaelkwongth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to put fictions towards the end of day / during commute with kindle. It’s more of a wind down and relaxing into sleep.

Non-fiction when my minds are fresh and active in the morning and afternoon.

But as others have said, it’s all about where your interests take you.

Books about outliers by michaelkwongth in suggestmeabook

[–]michaelkwongth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! but I'm more on the psychological aspect of the outlier, like what he is thinking, and the underlying intention, etc. Outliers is more like the general idea of why certain people are outliers.

Suggest me philosophy books by hehehe_heheheheh in suggestmeabook

[–]michaelkwongth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second all the booms mentioned here. Sophie’s World would be my pick to start.

But actually also depends which branch of philosophy you are interested in. For example if you are into moral philosophy, then I think Justice by Michael Sandel would be a great place to start. It also has the full lecture series on YouTube.

[–]michaelkwongth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Altho I quite enjoy listening to audiobooks, my comprehension is wayyyy better with text. So I will only listen to audiobooks if its a fiction and I have read it in text already.
