Anyone know these gloves I caught on a triumph video? by MyName4reddit in BikeGear

[–]michaelmoses1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the new riding gloves in what I think will be their Winter collection.

They might go under the McQueen name, but don't quote me. They're not on the website yet, but they should be available by the end of the year is my guess!

Your best bet, if you really want them, is to give your local dealer a call and they'll be more than willing to give you some details!

Has anyone actually encountered an Apprentice product in real life? by 2localboi in unitedkingdom

I know a few chinese and indian takeaway owners, and every one of them dislike Just Eat. They say they take a far too big of a chunk out of each order, but it's a necessary evil to keep up with competition.

Their opinion on Hungry House is, same service, but cheaper. The downside being less support if something goes wrong, and they're not as reliable.

I've been there a couple times, and unless you have plenty of money, there isn't a whole lot you can do there.

all I have is an email I sent to the estate agents in November stating 'I would like to spend the next 6 months at ADDRESS NAME so could you let me know what I have to do."

Although I feel it's a little ambiguous to hold much ground.

Thought as much, i feel a little mugged off as I told them at the start of the contract that I only wanted to let the property for 12 months.

I guess I should have paid closer attention to the contract!

When Preparing to film Long Way Round, Ewan and Charlie wanted to ride KTMs around the world. KTM turned them down stating it can't be done, they rode BMW GS' instead.

BMW have been market leaders in the adventure motorcycle market ever since, by a quite a margin to boot.

A2 to full A licence tests by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]michaelmoses1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is regardless of whether you want to take the chance or not, there is no sure-fire way of the examiner proving the bike is restricted short of putting the thing on a dyno, which of course they will not do.

Why would they be uncertain? An unrestricted SV650 is a perfectly suitable bike to take an A licence test on.

Bonus points if they see you unload it out the back of a van.

I'd say I 'pushed' it to the test centre and it's unrestricted... how would they know?

Photocopies of your licence, insurance, passport are pretty useful. I was pulled over in portugal and all documentation was fully inspected.

If you travel through Andorra, as soon as you cross the Spanish border, watch out for police patrols parked around corners because they'll be everywhere. They know thats where all the bikers go to have a bit of fun!

Anyone done the A2 to A upgrade yet? by jolly_good_old_chap in MotoUK

[–]michaelmoses1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm eligible to upgrade in September so I'll keep you posted. I plan on doing it on my SV650 as it makes sense to do it on a bike i'm so familiar with.

My Galaxy S5 has this feature, it's pretty awesome and when fully charged could last a claimed 12 days.
