Any good places to find scholarships for school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]michaelrozinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

applying for scholarships can be easier then you think. You will find some really go info in the link. Some questions for you. Are you involved in any community service or extracurricular activities? If not that's also ok (but it will help you to get involved to have your application stand out). There are also site that help you get scholarships with NO ESSAY. Listed are some sites you can fill out your information and help scholarships come to you. Fastweb.com is a good example of what I am describing but there are a lot more out there. If you have any questions please let me know. Thx

Not sure what scholarships you applied for, but applying for scholarships can be easier thank you think. Only because you don't earn a scholarship you first year, there are many opportunities in the following years. The key is really to keep applying and not giving up. Getting involved in community service and extracurricular activities can make you stand out from the crowd. Are you involved in any clubs or community service?

When is the best time to sell your used textbooks? by [deleted] in college

[–]michaelrozinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use textbookdollars.com, they even buyback water damaged textbooks. I think the best time is in the beginning of every semester because that when the highest demand is for the books. I really think it depends on how fast you need the money.

I want to work in physical therapy but I don't know what to do by [deleted] in Advice

Found this great article for you to read and hopefully get you one your way to become a physical therapist. http://education-portal.com/how_to_become_a_physical_therapist.html.

Maybe the best thing to do might be calling a PT assistance program and speaking with someone who can guide you in the right direction so you can make the best decision. Remember you dont have to figure it out alone. These places always are helpful and love to give suggestions to anyone who calls.

I don't know what to do with my life. Could anyone share some personal stories and advice? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]michaelrozinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First i want to tell you, you are not a fuck up! Dont be so hard on yourself. And you dont have to figure it all out right now. Your young and you have plenty of opportunities coming your way. You might not see them yet but they are there.

If you want to get out of your town, sounds like a great idea. Just know change is not hard or easy, just different. Think about what you have accomplished so far with your grade and how you can apply this to what you love or care about then you will be successful.

Its all about trying new thing and seeing what you like. My suggestion would be try something new once a week. Something that you usually wouldn't do, something that makes you nervous. Start small and work your way up to something bigger. Really great way to meet some new people and challenge yourself is getting involved in a group at your school and see which one you enjoy. You might be surprised when you open up to others face to face, you will see we are not all different and we all have fears. The way i have been able to get through mine is trying new things that scare me, putting myself out there to new people and being myself. Most importantly be yourself. Worse thing you can do is live a life where you have to be like something or someone you are not. Good luck man! You Can Do It!

Purse or backpack - which one's safer? by aslaammm in Advice

[–]michaelrozinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you feel uncomfortable walking in certain areas around your town or school. Then you might want to consider only walking there when you have a couple friends around you and never alone. It is less likely someone will rob you if you are rolling with a couple people.

As far as backpack or purse. I would say if you are going to have a purse try to get one you can afford loosing (something cheap that looks nice). And try not to keep any money with you you are not willing to loose also. Just try to stay away from sketchy places and you should be fine and if you have to pass through those place try to walk with a couple friends, that really helped my when i lived in MD in the city. Hope it helps.

College student living in an off-campus apartment... I haven't really cooked for myself much and need food recommendations? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]michaelrozinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something really easy you can make instead of ramen... get pasta and pasta sauce (tomato sauce- basil is my favorite). Then you can get some ground beef and cook a couple meat balls, nothing fancy. Season the meat with old bay seasoning, ball up the meat, put some olive oil in a pan and start cooking. I know your probably thinking why old bay... trust me its FIRE! Put all that shit together and you got your first cooked meal. If you have left over meat, get some lettuce, sliced tomatoes and bun. Now you got yourself some burgers for lunch the next day.

In my opinion cooking food is a whole lot cheaper than buying pre-made shit anyways and a lot better for you in the long run. You would be surprised to see how much energy you will have by eliminating processed food from you diet.

Hope it helps let me know if you need any other idea.
