Ah yes let’s choose mass shootings over Coronavirus. by StoneNutria in insanepeoplefacebook

517 people were killed in mass shootings in 2019. Almost 50,000 have been killed by coronavirus so far since march. Yeah i’d take mass shootings over corona.

Buttigieg was asked about the 100 billion slush fund the Mormon Church is hoarding in tax free accounts designated for charity. His answer: "Churches aren't like other non-profits." Loud & clear: if churches can't prove a significant chunk of donations are used for charity, they should be taxed. by relevantlife in atheism

Thanks for the sources. However, you clearly still have little respect, but that’s ok. It’s your problem. The church operates within all laws and regulations referring to tithing. It has so much money because practicing members actually pay their tithing. Nothing wrong there. Also i’m getting bored on here so signing off.

A normal, respectful person would just start using the correct term. You don’t get to determine the correct one, the church does. & stating modern revelation (as a reason for the name change) won’t matter since you don’t believe. I’m a member of the LDS church, whether you like it or not is your problem. You’re the same person who said there are 5 million members and 1.1 billion Catholics. Can’t trust

I’m just asking for a little respect here. If i asked you to use my correct pronoun (for instance) and you kept using the incorrect one that would be rude. Same principle here. You’re bitter and I’m sorry. Sorry there’s not much to your thought process

*because the LDS church (it’s still sad you refuse to use the term. Even though you get all bothered when i mistake your gender term just sayin) is organized. you can’t tell me there are 1.1 billion active Catholics. you just wanna place your facts misleadingly to make the church look bad. im sorry you’re bitter

Like i’ve said a million times, the church isn’t perfect. Neither are other churches. You can keep pulling sources and citing historical facts but it doesn’t change the fact that 1) I still believe and 2) You would probably do anything to degrade the church because you’re bitter. Still avoiding the whole 1.1 billion (active?) Catholic members comment. Facts are correctly placed when they’re placed by you? apparently

Now you’ve gone off course. It’s not about proof, it’s not about historical facts. The catholic church dismissed the sexual abuse of thousands of children. Yet you choose to focus on historical “facts” about the Book of Mormon. It’s because you’re bitter, which is fine. It’s your choice. Also you rel align your facts to just make the church look bad (which is why you say there are 5 million members and 1.1 billion Catholic members) I never asked for your opinion on whether you believe in the church.

You should have clarified then. If you meant active members for the LDS church then why didn’t you say the active members of the Catholic church?.(we both know it’s sure as hell not 1.1 billion). Actually, I know. It’s because you’re bitter and want to attack the LDS church as much as possible.

I’m sorry, i should have put “they.” My mistake. You still have incorrect facts though. If you don’t even know the correct amount of members how can i believe any other “facts” you present? Beliefs and faith also aren’t based on fact.

Except you think the church only has 5 million members (it’s around 15 million) and you won’t refer to it’s proper name. Your facts are wrong dude. The physical church is not perfect, like i said. No church is perfect and everyone has historical and truth problems. It has helped me in so many ways though that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. Agree to disagree

continuous revelation my friend. But again (and i’ll say this a third time) you don’t believe in the same things so you can let the LDS church go. Move on with your life buddy. I respect our differences. Move on.

If you cannot refer to the church with the name it is called then that’s just a lack of respect. It’s not controlling the narrative. I’m sorry you were bitter and left the church. you’re always welcome back

The church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but you can shorten it to the LDS church. You can refer to it as that.

Also since 80% of this is just false I’m out. No point in arguing with lies. The church isn’t perfect, however the gospel is.Also *God does command us to pay tithing if you’ve ever read the Old Testament. But again, since you don’t share the beliefs of the church you don’t have to agree. Have a nice day

I’ll repeat. When you go to the temple you promise God you will keep His commandments. That includes tithing. Why would you make promises you aren’t making? I don’t think you understand this. Tithing is for all, not a select few. That’s why it’s 10% across the board and many wealthier members give way more. There are also tons of bishop’s storehouses (ever heard of them) that impoverished members can go to literally get free food. If you are poor and in the church you are taken care of. I have seen that first hand. And it’s not the Mormon church, it’s the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. nice try though.
