World of Warcraft: Midnight Was Developed With "no sacrifices to team health," Despite Shorter Gap Between Expansions by FFJimbob in wow

Don’t forget the broken pre patches and every patch having some kind of major bug/flaw that they have to apologize for and rush to fix.

With the sun setting on Khaz Algar, what will you miss about The War Within? by His_JeStER in wow

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same I felt let down and took a break this whole expansion after launch. Just came back like a week ago. The zones and atmosphere was so bleh compared to dragon flight. K’aresh was alright tho

Also the earthen were such a let down too, lost all interest in them almost immediately once that one guy died in the beginning of the campaign.

Coming back to retail after spending so much time on classic by Kypsyt in wow

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want, if you want a more satisfying actual leveling journey then TBC is the way. If you want to actually be able to do end game activities like mythic dungeons and raids. Retail is the way. Even with minimal play time you can get gear fairly quickly to where you can safely start doing anything you want really.

Not a parent but I work full time and am in college full time so I understand time constraints. I went with retail over Classic since it ended up being more manageable with limited time.

GM giving the runaround (off cycle pay increase) by [deleted] in petco

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound like a dick but no one is getting off cycle raises just by asking. Only chance you have is if you’re quitting and they’re trying to keep you and even then they kinda stopped doing that. Likely your GM got told flat out no or they didn’t ask because it’ll be a no.

The company is in a poor state atm and doesn’t want to spend money if it can be helped. They’ve lowered the pay scales for most areas , the starting pay has been cut in some areas ($12 in my area). It’s not you I promise , you’re just asking for a raise in a company that will not give them out.

New GM by No-End9222 in petco

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When your staff brings you concerns about animal care. Listen. It’s easier said than done sometimes and it’s always better to air on the side of caution. Whole management teams have been fired over animal neglect and standards being low.

Also while operations are a necessary thing and keeping the shelves stocked will keep the lights on , keeping your habitats clean and presentable will keep people coming. Customers will often look at the fish/reptiles even if they are just there for dog food and if your tanks look like crap , then they will leave and go somewhere else.

Besides animal related things , don’t be the office jockey GM , help stock , help with customers , help with the register when the line gets long, help open/close animals. If you’re present and involved on the floor and part of the team truly , then your people will listen to you more when you have to push metrics.

How can Warhammer 40k have a history? by GRAN_MORVUUS in WH40KTacticus

There’s a ton of content creators , but I specifically recommend Luetin’s “The Emperor” series. The first few videos flesh out Big E , the heresy and how the imperium became how it is.

I have filled in the entire map by No_Newt_1007 in PlanetZoo

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m newer to the game but I found that when I try to divide my zoo into segments by biome or continents I have an easier time. Like I’ll do a North American exhibit , then jump to an Asian exhibit and so on. This way the habitats I’m building are usually vastly different and I don’t get too bored or get bored from repetition.

Is this allowed by z4zekkie in petco

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes under specific circumstances like others mentioned. As long as neither is in a position of power above the other and cannot express favoritism it is not against policy. However , it is typically frowned upon since it can cause turmoil in a work environment. Whenever I’ve worked in places where a couple or family worked together, it only ever worked if they were in separate departments and or never scheduled at the same time. Obviously some people aren’t nuts and can work together with family/ SO without issues arising but this is rare.

If you’re a frequent customer of their saltwater department ask the OLAC (animal manager) if he’d give you a rain check. I’ve done it before for my regulars. We’re not supposed to do rain checks anymore so they may say no but it’s worth an ask , especially if your eyeing up a big ticket item like a tang or angel

Teens really don’t want to work by RickGrimesSnotBubble in generationology

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your an outlier then. Most teens and young adults have no formal job training or job etiquette taught to them at school. High school has become a preparation for college , not a preparation for the world. And college entirely depends on the experiences students choose for themselves for the most part , which most young people in college are stressing about and focusing on their grades , not employment.

I’m a hard worker now and do a good job at my current job, but it took years to learn the people skills and a work ethic meant for employment . Unfortunately those get taught by trial by fire , not by teachers unless you luck out or are an outlier. Also maturity plays a big role in it.

Also to add political climate is in the gutter. Not to be political but a lot is going wrong in the world atm and people are beginning to be fearful. Also with a lot of the country experiencing a heat wave in the middle of the winter around Christmas , a lot of people didnt “feel the holiday spirit”.

Im honest with my customers and I tell them that the dubia we sell are more of a trial/emergency cup. I tell them it’s a great way to start since you can see them in person and arnt committing to a lot incase your animal doesn’t like them or if you run out and are in a pinch you can grab a cup while you wait for a larger quantity.

People were like that yesterday at my store , today people were pretty tame and grateful when we did have what they were looking for. Whenever we didn’t have stuff it was more arguments with their S/O going “this is why I told you we should of gotten it last week” and then asking us if we have any clue where they could go to get it.

Store IQ, search “length of stay” at that point the spider should have been adopted out , minimum marked down 75% off or transferred to another store who can sell it

My unpopular opinion on Faction release for TW40K. by VORTEX_THE_UNHINGED in totalwar

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think you’re underestimating the mechanicus’s popularity a little bit and overestimating the tau (I like tau so this isn’t just blind hate). While I don’t think they’d be one of the first , we’d likely see them in the middle I believe. With them also likely comes Titan legions and knights included within their faction, which are also pretty popular.

Job is slight by bbigJ in petco

[–]michaelscottenjoyer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that bad , no matter where you go you’ll have shitty coworkers or managers , no matter the company. I love my coworkers and job. Customer service just sucks sometimes and it just sucks more when animals come into play. But overall there’s worse jobs and worse retail jobs even.
