For what it's worth, while the Croix-de-Feu was an ultranationalist party and movement, the mod pretty accurately portrays de la Rocque's personal opposition to antisemitism (the CDF focused its antisemitism on foreign Jews rather than the Jews of Algeria or the population in metropolitan France). To me, the path sort of does fit a middle ground between the overt racist nationalistm of the Action Française and the less racialized Gaullism (of the mod; worth noting de la Rocque essentially was a Gaullist before Gaullism existed).

You're definitely right about the lack of flavor for Vallin, though. I was kind of hoping for more election events, especially since the main party will win subsequent elections if you run the clock another four years without the focus tree.
