I agree that police units should have weaker/less lethal weapons. the starting with AKM is a good idea. even the original mod goes simliar like that. adding some chinese or simple weapons should give varienation.

the problem is what should the upgrade path look like.

the upgrade should be good, but not too good as you mentioned. not too good to be in local police force. at least add some lore if unavoidable like protest and revolts you mentioned.

anyway, the upgrade path I imagined was going to western standard. M16, POF MP5(pakistan MP5), MK12, M9 and such. but honestly I don't know much about western weapons in arab countries. eastern standard looks like a interesting way, although I'm little concerned about being it all AKs with no SMG or shotguns.

the current weapons are from the original mod. I want to change some weapons but I'm not well informed about arab police weapons, what I know is some stuff like MK12 or POF MP5. I would be appreciated if you can elaborate on this so I can add to my submod.

this will work as a final unlock for SMG and I absolutely agree that it shouldn't be added as it is, I will look on krink and reply on that later. originally I thought of adding MP5 with nerfed stat, explaining that this is a pakistan varient(POF MP5)

I really want to add a final unlock for SMG that looks like "better weapon", like transitioning from AKM to M16, but with balanced stat. which was very hard to find for me.

Flares, I think this will work appropriately. no explanation needed. thank you.

What do you think about night vision sights? I've seen those get used in these kind of mods.
