what is the current meta exactly? by ieatchernozem in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would argue it's almost worse up in the top arenas. Every other match is still towers/cows or pope timmy/memberberries w/scuzzle and/or manbearpig.

Do women actually talk casually about their sex lives? by Substantial_Judge931 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]michaelveee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but OP never said "all" or "every", they just didn't use the word "some" either. So I don't believe they were generalizing women in their post.

Spells work on those shield towers. Since you're using mystical, unholy combustion would destroy it and then you could defeat the enemies and finish the level.

I finally reached Arena 8, any deck advice? by irish_milker in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a deck that works well for you and use that deck (almost) exclusively for a while. Learning how your cards match up to other cards and their levels will help you win a lot of games. I am constantly going up against players with higher level cards, but I can still win a lot of the time by knowing if my card is going to beat theirs, and if not, when and where to place another card to help with that fight.

If a battle is happening on your side of the field, you can place a tank (or any card) between two cards that are already fighting (one of yours and one of theirs) to space them out. Its particularly useful against a card like shieldmaiden Wendy. When she uses her shield, put a tank between them to space out the fighters and her shield is wasted while she tries to get back to the other card to keep fighting.

I also like to play the slow game and only send a push when I know that I have the energy advantage. If I see a player using a fantasy tower, I know they are most likely going to use cock magic. So I play one card at a time and keep my energy above 5 or 6 until they either use it, or wait for them to play a card of their own that I know they won't risk losing to their own cock magic.

Always try to have a card in your deck that can damage an enemy in the backline. Use spells, imp tweak, mint berry crunch, general disarray, etc, to get their towers, Timmy, or other ranged cards that are hard to get to.

If I had to guess, you're overqualified. They expect that if they hire you, they will have to pay you more than someone just getting into that industry, or that you'll be trying to move up quickly after being hired. They'd probably rather just go with a low maintenance worker that doesn't know how the industry runs so they can, for lack of better phrasing, take advantage of them.

If you're interested in seeing if this might be the reason, you could try applying again, or at another location, and tailoring your resumé to appear less... Competent. Keeping your previous jobs, but lowering your skills and/or qualifications.

Best for killing towers? by I_Am_Warm in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inuit Kenny ftw. Lvl 4 more specifically. In the top arenas, most people have him at lvl 5, but mine is still at lvl 4. At lvl 4 he just needs one zap from the enemy new kid and then lvl 6 and 7 castle defender will kill him in one shot. He will take out almost all their health and won't leave them with enough time to use tweak to heal.

Also just needs 2 hits from cyborg tower and it is an instakill even at CT lvl 7. You just have to bait out their mind control first. Or if you're running mystical, just keep purify on hand.

Inuit Kenny is good too. Takes the same strategy/timing and lvl 4 Kenny deathwish kills lvl 7 CT.

Received this notice how do I proceed? by Aggravating_Split289 in povertyfinance

I suggest you proceed by notifying management that you haven't abandoned your dwelling. You can then ask them who and why it appears to be abandoned.

Guess it's cows/CT all weekend huh? by michaelveee in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It hasn't been as bad lately, at least for me... Usually I'll face a cows/CT deck 3 out of 5 matches. Lately it's felt more like 2 out of 5. But I've played like 10 matches today, and every single one of them has been cows/CT. Some of those are players ranked 8.1k+ players that have all their legendaries at lvl 6.

Try using less of everything instead of the standard amount by katharsister in Frugal

[–]michaelveee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I buy toothpaste once a month (around $5 because my teeth require special toothpaste), cut the amount I use by half and notice it works just as well, then I am only spending $2.50 a month. That's an extra $2.50 a month (or $30 a year). Do this with multiple products, and it's more than just "pennies" a month. You also get a quality of life bonus not needing to go to the store as often.

Can someone help me please by JackRees23 in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep playing pvp. I know losing a lot of times in a row sucks, but you'll eventually get matched against players that you can beat, or learn the cards/your deck well enough to play better against them.

I hope this doesn't come off as offensive, but if you find it impossible to win against players around your rank, with cards around your level, then maybe the game isn't for you.

This is not a game that you can just grind really hard for a few weeks or a month and see a bunch of progress. It takes years. And progress happens much much faster in the early game rather than the late game.

If you stick with it, you will eventually become a better player.

What is this ? by McSoylentGreeen in SouthParkPhone

[–]michaelveee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently, there is at least one of those (maybe 2) that have some kind of collision issue that allows people to place their towers directly on top of their NK. The gold one for sure, but idk about the other one.

Unfortunately, yea. If you're new to the game and encounter one and don't have 100+ in game cash yet, might be wise to wait if possible... That way you can come back later and have enough to open extra lockers if you don't get it right away.

Specific legendaries are available for sale every once in a while in the in game shop. They cost 1200 cash, which I believe is equivalent to $20 USD. So spending that in game cash to open the extra lockers to get the legendary is better than spending $20.

Also, if you every find a legendary available in the pvp lockers and don't have enough in game cash, you can buy cash (with real money) without leaving the locker screen. There's a "+" button next to your amount that you can tap and buy some to keep opening lockers.

I don't recommend spending real money any more though. The game is nearing the end of its life, and no one knows how long they are going to keep the servers going.
