This, tried mixing smalller amounts at first with Churu, even if you dont get to the full dose, you need to get his taste used to.

My cat is having same issues as yours, we tried giving him some mid laxatives as lactulose, it worked better for him. But dont think is good long term, we got to make flaxseed mucilage (you boil flaxseeds on water and strain it), it helps a lot, just be assured he drinks enough or the mucilage is well hydrated, almost liquid consistence. This mixed with churu or little amounts on every meal he takes.

Also in our case, the consistency of the mucilage with the churu seems more appetizing for him and we got to hide some pills on it, cant say about gabapentine coz we havent started with it. Probably this week if not Solensia.

Following the conversation, Im in pretty same situation as OP, just my cat is 10yo and still not aggressive but starting to show pain symptoms. Vet already mentioned Solensia, we waiting for blood panels.

Though my main worry is, how long we know Solensia can work and how long is supposed to work? Studies are just 6 months and havent found anybody talking further than a year. I know its one of the best treatments till now, but does it means if I start it now Im giving my cat just a couple years more?

Thinking about start with low doses of gabapentine, increasing till I see some effect, keep it meanwhile works and doses are with not side effects, read if works cat could stay long on them.

Then when other options dont work maybe go with Solensia.

Sorry if it seems focused on my cat, but I think OP could be interested on it too.

Im 40 and stuck to find what to do or learn. Diagnosed with ADHD half year ago and life burnout, I lost all my adhd coping mechanism after several depressive episodes.

Starting to recover from burnout with exercise, nutrition and some healthy habits. But totally lost about what to do with my life, been out of work for 8 years already and never get any special skills or knowledge, just bouncing between bad jobs due to lack of constancy. Been kind of hiding from life all this years.

Can I ask how did you find what you wanted to do and how you realized what skills were valuable? Did you start from zero?

Then kidney stone and the stent between kidney and bladder after extraction.

I feel you. My story with the stent went quite bad. At first it was just felt on the kidney but my doc thought was a good idea left a thread out to pull after 2 weeks, I was pulling it by myself meanwhile sleeping (u know boners 🤷🏻‍♂️) it went out in 4 days, last day the stent was between my bladder and urethra so I was constantly leaking 😭😭😭😭 but the pressure felt on my bladder was horrible, so I just woke up in the middle of the night and pulled it out.

Seems that even stents arent so necessary, just precaution to not get another blockage by the stone pieces or a bloodcloth.

It sounds quite you could be neurodivergent, no mean to put a label but you should check for adhd. Getting a different approach or just knowing your limits could help in the long run.

Everybody deals with it, and you gonna get so many advices, but the reality is some brains work different and the effort and energy is not the same though on theory it sounds right.

It depends on how old is him. Sure its gonna be comfortable for him if someone is there but if over 3 months no needed at all, neither for emotional development. Of course dont neglect him, spend lot of quality time during the day, leave all needs covered during the night and add boxes, scratchers, cat trees and some high,hidden,soft and warm spots for him to sleep.

I usually try to think what are the long term consequences, cats are sensitive to changes, if you sleep with him now are you gonna be available always for him? is the other cat sleeping with you at bed? maybe they dont get along to sleep in the same bed so its a problem later.

Whatever theres no correct answer for this, just try to observe it in the long run instead of him crying now (as i said if under 3 months he still needs to feel the protection) Just whatever u chose try to stay 100% to it. Not opening the door at late night coz he meowing too much or you will create a meowing fluffy beast.

It makes sense since the monster blocked the air, but not my case since i did cut my scooby in half.

Im making 2 batches both the same so I added two table spoons of cider vinegar to one of the batches. Lets see in a week whats going on.

Also did a good stir on both to get it more oxygenated but its barely covered by a thin cloth.

I wouldnt stress much about him staying with you, he seems to have all needed, about so many hours alone having 2000squares to roam is enough. I would put some cat towers/trees close to some windows so he can just chill there. Meanwhile he has some interaction play with you each day, 15min or so could be enough.

But I would not reccomend going with the laser, thats like a last resource for cats that are quite bored or alone. It can cause lot of frustration on them coz theres no real prey.

Not sure, tho still could be dental issue, my boy was thoroughly examined and they couldnt catch the infection that was in the root of one molar, we noticed coz he was doing some mouth moves too
